The son of Captain Al would have gained from the experience and should enjoy the extra furlong on offer today. With the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

SAN ANDREAS showed good improvement in his last start over seven furlongs at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He lost a length at the start that day, but stayed on well at the finish. The son of Vercingetorix drops in trip and gets the blinkers fitted for the first time. The headgear should keep his mind on the task at hand. If jumping on terms, he may be the one to beat.
Race 5: VICTORIA PAIGE (1)
Jockey: L Ferraris – Trainer: S Tarry
VICTORIA PAIGE never got into the race in the Gold Bracelet on Gold Cup day last time. She was not disgraced when finishing fourth in the Woolavington 2000 behind Summer Pudding in her penultimate run. The run that catches the eye is when finishing third in the SA Fillies Guineas, four runs ago. She is the class horse in this race and should take a power of beating.
Race 8: ULULATE (7)
Jockey: L Hewitson – Trainer: St John Gray
ULULATE followed up her maiden win with another good victory over 1450m. Despite shifting at the 200m mark, she ran on well to win. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride this afternoon and she should notch up the hat-trick. She is carded to race on 26 September 2020 and her progress in that race will need to be checked.

Jockey: De Gouveia D – Trainer: Nieuwenhuizen
SOUL CONNECTION finished 2.4 lengths behind SNOW IN SEATTLE in his last start. He is 5kgs better off at the weights this afternoon and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice, finished second once and third three times from eight attempts over this distance. He is likely to use his early gate speed to get across from the deep draw and may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.
