Jockey: Piere STRYDOM – Trainer: Louis GOOSEN

DREAM HUNTER is a good looking son of Kahal who has shown some useful form to date. However, he clearly needed his comeback run after a 13 week break recently. The Louis Goosen inmate tired badly into 3rd after setting the pace but he should strip a much fitter horse today and should make heaps of improvement. Piere Strydom retains the ride on the gelding and the pair should go very close.

Race 4: DANCE AWAY(8)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM – Trainer: Barend BOTES

DANCE AWAY has come very well since trying ground and she brings solid recent form into this event. She stayed on strongly for a close 3rd against male rivals over 2450m last time and is equally effective over this trip. The Judpot filly is back against her own sex and she has strong claims of exiting the maiden ranks.

Race 6: ONE COOL CAT(3)
Jockey: Deon SAMPSON – Trainer: Heather ADAMSON

ONE COOL CAT seems above-average and he bounced back to form with a good 2nd over this trip, three weeks ago. He was considered good enough to contest a Grade 1 in his penultimate effort but he had excuses for his poor display. He will be much fitter today and should give another very good account of himself.

Jockey: Nooresh JUGLALL – Trainer: Clinton BINDA

DUE AND PAYABLE is seldom far off but he clearly found six furlongs too sharp for him in his last outing. His best recent form has come over this trip and he finished a creditable 4th over this c & d against considerably stronger in his penultimate effort. The son of Dupont won impressively in similar company over this c & d, three runs back. He shoulders a big mass today but has a nice turn of foot and can still prove equal to the task. Nooresh Juglall renews his old partnership with Clinton Binda.

Race 3: LADY MUFFET(3) (Each Way)
Jockey: Ian STURGEON – Trainer: Spike LERENA

LADY MUFFET hated yielding conditions in her last start as she uncharacteristically faded badly in the straight. She had cracking previous form, including a victory over male rivals over 1700m on this course in late July. She placed over 2200m in her penultimate outing and she should have no issues with today’s trip. The daughter of Kahal is back against her own sex and she could be a real handful, especially if the going is good.
