NARNIA relished the Highveld and this surface when she used her gate speed to good effect in her much improved last c & d outing. She was well beaten into 2nd that day but finished ahead of a form runner despite issues at the gates and obviously has lots more to offer. The Paul Peter inmate is the clear first pick of the raced runners and should go very close.
Race 4: DIVINE GRACE(2)

DIVINE GRACE is holding her form well and she was stubborn for a long way before tiring late into 3rd behind WENSLEYDALE (3kgs worse off) over this c & d, two weeks ago. Her good draw, coupled with the latter’s poor barrier position and the weight reversal clearly makes the Gary Alexander inmate the one to side with. She will again have the services of a red-hot Andrew Fortune and merits healthy respect.
Race 7: INALA(2)
Jockey: Danielson R – Trainer: Azzie M G
INALA was bitterly disappointing over ten furlongs on this track two weeks ago but drops to a more suitable distance and can quickly bounce back to form. The grey gelding produced a powerful late burst when 2nd over this c & d in his penultimate outing and he holds KIDMAMBO safe on that run despite being 2kgs worse off at the weights.
Race 8: MOOGHAMIR(3)
The three-year old colt MOOGHAMIR made the expected improvement second time out and he looks way above average. He answered many questions with a flawless display from the front on his Highveld debut over this c & d in his comeback run, three weeks ago. All that despite the Galileo colt stumbling at the start and he won by just over eight lengths at the line. He takes on stronger today but will strip fitter and has huge room for improvement. The Mike de Kock inmate could take a power of beating from his decent draw.

Race 6: SLICK DEPUTY(7)
Jockey: Munger R – Trainer: Magner R R
SLICK DEPUTY is a c & d specialist who ran above her rating when finishing strongly for 2nd behind a potentially top sand sprinter, a fortnight ago. She was in turn, exactly two lengths clear of the 3rd placed runner and will certainly enjoy the likely blistering speed of today’s event. The chestnut mare is struggling for her next career win but she could defy her six pound penalty and get it right today.
