The gelding’s last two victories came with ‘Striker’ in the saddle.

Jockey: Juan-Paul VAN DER MERVE – Trainer: Alec LAIRD
URBAN MYTH has solid credentials and is still on the up but he does have to prove himself down the straight. The Judpot gelding is versatile though and he was outrun late by the smart veteran gelding Ilitshe (3rd in subsequent feature) over ten furlongs just longer than a month ago. The inmate from the Alec Laird yard is ahead of the handicapper and he holds claims from a favourable draw.
Race 9: ANGEL OF LIGHT(5)
The My Friend Lee formline over seven furlongs on 09/03 could be worth following here and the best performer of that event, ANGEL OF LIGHT can go one better. She silenced critics who felt she had stamina doubts as the daughter of Mambo In Seattle went down narrowly to her smart younger conqueror. She was hiked four pounds for her effort which means she meets MIGHT AS WELL and FASHION BLAST on unfavourable terms but the four-year old can still confirm the formline.

WOODY GLOW is better than his recent form suggests and he was making eye-catching late progress when beaten just under three lengths by JUST A GIGOLO (3kgs worse off) over today’s distance, two weeks ago. His yard were amongst the winners recently and this favourably drawn Fort Wood gelding can cause the upset.
