Race 3: COLOUR VISION(8)
Jockey: Randall SIMONS – Trainer: Johan JANSE VAN RENSBURG

COLOUR VISION
benefitted from the lengthy absence and she made big improvement in her comeback run over six furlongs on this course, three weeks ago. The daughter of Visionaire ran on well for 4th against male rivals that day and she will prefer facing her own sex today. She should have little issue with the extra furlong and clearly has scope for further progress. Her yard has been in great form recently.

Race 4: CYBER MAGIC(12)
Jockey: Gavin LERENA – Trainer: Paul PETER

The talented three-year-old CYBER MAGIC showed plenty of promise in juvenile features last term but seems to have suffered a setback and she returns from a 30-week layoff. However, the engaging of top jockey Gavin Lerena indicates that her in-form conditioner will have her fit and well. The daughter of Ashaawes drops to maiden company and she should take all the beating.

Race 5: JUST A JET(8)

Jockey: Weichong MARWING – Trainer: Michael AZZIE

JUST A JET
was unfancied when she produced a classy display over this c & d recently and the four-year-old filly should build on that progress. The Mike Azzie trained daughter of Just As Well was very slow into stride but she ran on strongly late for a good 3rd in a competitive line-up, where the runner-up bucked the formline with a relatively easy subsequent victory. The effort would have brought the top selection on and she merits healthy respect with Weichong Marwing back in the saddle.

Race 7: NIKKI(5)

Jockey: Anthony DELPECH – Trainer: Mike de KOCK

NIKKI
is a game filly with some decent credentials and she produced a good last display over this trip at pinnacle level, despite being out at the weights. This is an extremely competitive handicap but she is much better treated at the weights and has a good c & d record. The four-year-old filly won a good event over this c & d three runs back.

Race 6: BUSH PILOT(7)

Jockey: Chase MAUJEAN – Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF

The lightly raced four-year-old BUSH PILOT built on his promising debut as he recorded a most impressive maiden win over a mile on the tight inside track at Turffontein second time out, despite jumping slowly and having much ground to make-up in the straight. The betting market in both his runs have indicated that he is highly regarded by the stable and the son of Judpot should relish today’s rise in distance. He was withdrawn due to a swollen joint when carded to race on 29/10 but his top class conditioner is obviously pleased with his recovery. The four-year-old chestnut could prove to be much better than rated on his handicap debut and he is certainly one worth following.
