Race 2: MUTAWAARY(8)
Race 3: JIKA(8)
Race 4: MALINGA(9)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 4: HIDDEN AGENDA(3)

Jockey: Gunter WROGEMANN – Trainer: Scott KENNY

HIDDEN AGENDA had two fair comeback runs over shorter and the smart five-year old gelding will prefer stepping back over preferred ground. He has a very good track record and should be highly competitive on his peak run.

Race 5: FANGIA(3)

Jockey: Craig ZACKEY – Trainer: Gary ALEXANDER

FANGIA runs well for this jockey and the son of Overlord clearly prefers this nine furlongs than when making late progress over the mile in a similar field three weeks ago. He is particularly effective on soft ground and should be highly competitive from his good draw.

Race 7: LAST GIRL STANDING(13)

Jockey: Keagan DE MELO – Trainer: St John GRAY

The lightweights could have a big say in this competitive low-key fillies and mares handicap. LAST GIRL STANDING has been consistent for some time now and she holds a solid c & d record. She ran on well for 4th behind her stable companion over six furlongs recently and the runner-up Artemisia boost- ed that formline when thrashing male rivals seven days ago.

TOP BET
Race 8: SAIL FOR JOY(1)

Jockey: Ryan MUNGER – Trainer: Scott KENNY
SAIL FOR JOY clearly escaped with just the minimum two pound penalty for his smart last c & d victory over a quality field despite jumping slowly. He is favourably drawn in today’s much weaker handicap and can follow-up with the big mass.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:
Race 2: EIGHT CITIES(2)
Jockey: Sherman BROWN – Trainer: Paul MATCHETT
The Forafewdollarsmore formline on 11/05 is worth following in this six furlong sprint and EIGHT CITIES can confirm his recent improvement. He overraced over the seven furlongs on this track that day but stayed on for 3rd, a neck ahead of the strongly fancied imported colt MUTAWAARY whom he meets on identical weight terms. The pair should relish reverting to sprinting today and though the former has had more chances, he has obviously taken well to Brown’s riding style and could be value judging by the forecast betting.
