The daughter of Soft Falling Rain won her only attempt over this C&D. She is a class above the rest of this field and can notch up her third career victory.

Jockey: Zackey C – Trainer: Peter P
SERGEI is one of the better bets on today’s card. He set the pace in his last start over this distance and tried hard all the way to the line. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has finished second twice and third twice from four starts over this distance. He is likely to have his own way in front once again and should be hard to peg back.
Race 8: PLATINUM SKY (5)
Jockey: Zackey C – Trainer: Tarry S
PLATINUM SKY ran a decent race in his last start over 1600m on the Classic course. He raced from a handy position, was carried outwards at the 150m mark but stayed on nicely at the finish. The son of Silvano will love the rise to 2000m and he should strip much fitter. From his mid-field draw, he should return to winning ways.

ZOFFANY’S GIRL produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course. She lost a length at the start, but the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Zoffany will love the rise to 1700m and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can win in this field.

NORDIC REBEL has some decent recent form lines to his credit. It must be noted that the horse that finished third in his last start has come out and won since. He has won twice and finished third four times from nine starts over this C&D. He gets the services of 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Rachel Venniker which will help his chances.
