He should have more to offer and despite his wide draw, he can pull this off with the services of top jockey Fortune. The fact that he has many newcomers drawn on his inside could aid his cause in overcoming his poor barrier position. Speaking of those first timers, the betting market must be closely monitored.

The Diva Fever c & d formline on 24/09 could dominate proceedings in this event and the top selection ROCK STEWART fared best of all in that contest. The lightly raced daughter of Seventh Rock has improved with each of her three starts and she was outrun late in that latest effort. The speedy bay filly was only a short head in front of the exposed MOULINA in that race but she crucially jumps from the best draw today and she has scope for further progress. She is her yard’s only entrant on the card and she can go one better.
Race 4: LA FLAMBEE(5)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE – Trainer: Adam MARCUS
LA FLAMBEE took a while to shed her maiden tag but her consistency is clearly noticeable. She had an excuse but still produced a solid post maiden effort over seven furlongs on this track, four weeks ago. In fact, the daughter of Windrush should have finished runner-up but for her jockey not riding her out at the line. She finished just under one length in front of MIXED EMOTIONS on that occasion and can still confirm the formline despite being 1kg worse off with the latter. The four-year-old filly will prefer this extra furlong and her top veteran jockey will be looking to make amends.
Race 7: LIGHT CHASER(2)
LIGHT CHASER has improved with each run and she relished the rise in distance when posting her career best effort over this c & d in yielding conditions, two weeks ago. The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight found decent betting support and she stayed on well for 2nd, beaten just over one length at the line. She has another awkward draw to negotiate but should continue to progress and the bay filly can go one better.
Race 6: NEW CALEDONIA(2)
Jockey: Andrew FORTUNE – Trainer: Geoff WOODRUFF
NEW CALEDONIA is on the up and he comes here seeking a hat-trick of victories after his fluent handicap debut triumph over this c & d, four weeks ago. That earned the four-year-old gelding the maximum eight-pound penalty but he still has plenty more to offer. The son of Right Approach will be partnered by Fortune for the first time and he can follow-up from his midfield draw.
