PARA HANDY has won his first two starts for his new trainer since moving up from CT, both over this distance. He has a wide draw to overcome, but he likes to finish his races off well and may not be too bothered by that fact. If jumping on terms, he looks the one to side with here.

Jockey: W Kennedy – Trainer: G Smith
MASTER NEWTON’S last win over the c&d was full of merit as he overraced early and hung in the latter stages of that race. He is well drawn and Warren Kennedy will be on board again this afternoon. He looks to be a big contender here.

The luckless WHITELEAF HILLS gets another chance to chalk up his third win here. He was forced to race wide in his last start over the c&d and then was bumped at the 100M mark. He was running on that day and should put up another honest performance again.
Race 8: TEOFILIA(1)
Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greeff
TEOFILIA has only had the four starts, but he has won one and finished second in the other three and clearly has some ability. He was slow into stride last time out, but moved up well and was then run out of it late. From a handy draw, he should be involved in the finish.

A tricky F&M Handicap faces punters here and the rather tentative selection goes to DALLEY from the in-form yard of Alan Greeff with stable jockey Greg Cheyne in the irons. She had to be eased at a vital stage in her last start over ten furlongs and should have finished closer than what she did. With better luck in running, she should be right there at the winning post.
