She has joined a powerful local outfit and is the one to beat in this ordinary field though she does try the right hand turn for the first time today. Her new stablemate ANGKOR has shown decent improvement since being equipped with blinkers and has more to offer.

The Tara Laing yard holds a very hand in this minor feature contest and their emerging sprinter AFRICAN VICTORY looks set to overcome his first real test. The c & d specialist got his career firmly back on track with a thrashing of AMAZON KING (3kgs better off) in the last month of spring and the sparingly raced five-year old certainly has much more to offer. Of course the consistent latter was just under two lengths adrift of the quality stablemate to the top rating, EXELERO over this track & trip in his penultimate start but now meets his conqueror on 5kgs better terms.

MAKE IT RAINE has certainly turned the corner in recent attempts but should have finished much closer but for traffic issues at this level last time out. She finished half a length adrift of the in-form WESTON that day but can turn the formline around despite being 0.5kg worse off.
