DESTINY’S ANGEL ran a good race in his local debut over 1400m on this course. He was his own worst enemy that day as he overraced in the early stages. The drop to 1200m should suit him well. The blinkers will sharpen him up and from his good draw of two, he can go one better.
Race 4: CRUISE CONTROL (1)
Jockey:S Khumalo – Trainer: G Smith
CRUISE CONTROL showed good speed over this distance on the turf last time, but found one too good in the form of Khaya’s Hope who has come out and won again since. The son of Querari won his penultimate run on this course. S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride and the combination may be hard to peg back.
Race 6: GALLIC TRIBE (1)
Jockey: R Khathi – Trainer: J Strydom
GALLIC TRIBE has good consistent form lines to his credit. He received a bump leaving the start in the Non-Black Type Founders Trophy last time and stayed on to finish third. He has won twice and finished third twice from six starts on this course. He should have no issues with the step up to 1900m and is the horse to beat.

Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: A Greeff
PATH OF CHOICE finished 1.25 lengths behind CHARLIE MALONE last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He gets the blinkers re-fitted and may be the one to side with.

VANDALISE showed some good signs of a form return in her last start over this C&D. The manner in which she finished off her race that day was encouraging. She is versatile and from her mid-field draw, she can return to winning ways.
