KHAYA‘S HOPE is one of the better bets on the card. He has good consistent form lines to his credit. He was running on when second over 1200m against older rivals last time. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He has cracked a good draw of two and may be rewarded for consistency.

Trainer Duncan McKenzie holds a strong hand in this contest and can saddle the first two past the post. ANGEL DEB‘S showed good speed in her last start over 1200m on this course, but was caught in the shadow of the post by Stolen Kiss. She was reported to be coughing that day. She shed her maiden tag under Luyolo Mxothwa and back over the 1000m, she may be the one to side with.

She won her only attempt over this C&D. The cheekpieces have done the trick and she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
