The 4th placed entrant Spume went close to winning his next outing and this bay should relish the extra furlong on his grass debut.

The grey colt WHITE LIGHTNING has shown promise in his two attempts thus far but worryingly hit his top stride late over this trip seven days ago. Of course this shorter run-in is the immediate concern but the son of Noble Tune has cracked the best draw and importantly, top rider Marcus keeps the mount.

The chestnut mare FINAL JUDGEMENT has incredibly gone more than two years without a triumph since her finest moment when holding on for victory in a Grade 2 juvenile contest on this course. That said, she has faced top sorts along the way and has shown encouraging signs in stronger company recently. She deservedly shoulders a huge weight in this pinnacle stakes affair but could still take all the beating. She is still slightly favoured on current official ratings and of course is well-handicapped.

ANNELINE has turned her form around smartly in the province during the winter months and she ran on strongly for a close 2nd on the polytrack five weeks ago. The minimum trip will be a test for the chestnut mare but she is well drawn and has the brilliant Marcus in the saddle. Of course she is better treated in this handicap company.
