MR ALADDIN finished 1.2 lengths behind LEATHER MASTER last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the tables. YEABOI has been racing fairly well on the All Weather and the switch to turf may do him the world of good. TRADITION cannot be ignored.
13.10 Race 2 Class 3 – 1000m
Selections: 4/7/8
SEASONS WIT finished second last time despite racing wide and receiving a bump at the 100m. He has cracked pole and should feature with a better run in transit. PARENTS’ LOVE followed up his recent win with a fair effort behind Horsepower. He comes in with a handy galloping weight and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
13.40 Race 3 Class 4 – 1650m
Selections: 5/1/4
MIDORI FUJI ran on strongly when beaten a short-head last time. He meets the right field and should be one of the leading contenders. SUNDAY’S SERENADE is in-search of a hat-trick of wins. He has a wide draw to overcome which is the only concern. OUR LUCKY GLORY is next in line.
14.10 Race 4 Class 2 – 1650m
Selections: 5/4/1
SOLEIL FIGHTER’S last three wins have come over this course and distance. He looks nicely weighted and should give another good account of himself. CALIFORNIATOTALITY won his last start by the narrowest of margins. He drops back to a mile and can threaten from a neat draw.
14.40 Race 5 Class 4 – 1200m
Selections: 3/11/5
FORTUNE WHISKEY has been racing well since joining the David Eustace yard and he should give another good account of himself. NEW POWER has consistent recent form to his credit. He finished close-up under Antoine Hamelin last time and the combination merit healthy respect.
15.10 Race 6 Class 4– 1200m
Selections: 8/5/7
BIENVENUE was only beaten a neck last time and it is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride. INCREDIBLE MOMENT had to be checked at the 100m on debut and still managed to finish fourth. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt. HARMONY N HOME can threaten.
15.45 Race 7 Class 4 – 1200m
Selections: 7/5/10
GLORY B has been knocking on the door and is probably most deserving of a win. He may be rewarded for consistency. TACTICAL COMMAND is better than his moderate last effort. He reunites with Alex Badel and would not be a shock winner. SOLAR RIVER can run into the placings.
16.15 Race 8 Class 3 – 1800m
Selections: 2/3/10
ROCKET SPADE ran on from far back into second spot last time. He is likely to take his medicine from a wide draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners. EXCELLENCE VALUE has placed in his last two starts under Luke Ferraris. He should give the top selection a good run for his money.
16.50 Race 9 Class 3 – 1200m
Selections: 3/1/2
STORM RIDER has finished close-up behind the winner in his last two starts. Zac Purton takes the ride and he may be able to coax a little bit extra out of him where it matters most. LUCKY EIGHT finished a nose behind Power Koepp last time. He can feature if overcoming the wide draw without using up too much energy.
