12.35 – Race 1 | Class 5 – 1650m
Selections: 12/10/4
SUPERB MOVE finished just under a length behind Confringo last time. He comes in at the bottom of the weights again and has the potential to win a race of this nature. CALIFORNIA MOXIE finished 2.3 lengths behind MR ALADDIN last time. He is only slightly better off at the weights and may have to settle for the same result.
13.05 – Race 2 | Class 3 – 1000m
Selections: 2/5/3
YOUTHFUL SPIRITS went a little hard in-front over 1200m last time. He drops back to the minimum trip and may be difficult to peg back in the closing stages. SPARKLING FELLOW is having his first run at Happy Valley and can enter the frame once more. COLOURFUL KING has cracked pole and must also be strongly considered in this Class 3 contest.
13.35 – Race 3 | Class 4 – 1200m
Selections: 5/8/6
EXCELLENT PEERS finished his last race off strongly from a wide draw. He is nicely handicapped and should be involved in the fight to the finish. GOOD PROSPECT is coming off back-to-back runner-up finishes and can give the top selection a good run for his money. TELECOM DRAGON is next best.
14.05 – Race 4 | Class 4 – 1200m
Selections: 10/1/2
TELECOM POWER finished a neck behind Dragon Four Seas last time. He comes in with a light weight and remains a threat in this type of field. PERFECT GENERAL finished a length behind OUR LUCKY GLORY last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the tables.
14.35 – Race 5 | Class 4 – 1650m
Selections: 8/7/9
JUMBO FORTUNE has finished close-up in his last two starts and is edging closer to another win. SUPER CONTENTED showed signs of needing his comeback run after a lengthy break. He has cracked pole and both of his wins have been recorded at Happy Valley. SUNDAY’S SERENADE is better than his moderate last effort and would not be a shock winner.
15.05 – Race 6 | Class 4– 1000m
Selections: 4/8/6
PARENTS’ LOVE is likely to race on the speed from pole. He is nicely weighted and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. SUPER SIXTY was rewarded for a well-deserved win last time. He remains in Class 4 and can put in another honest performance.
15.40 – Race 7 | Class 3 – 1650m
Selections: 1/9/11
The Caspar Fownes trained M UNICORN finished a neck behind EXCELLENCE VALUE last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. QUANTAM PATCH ran on nicely into fourth behind Hameron last time. He shoulders a handy galloping weight and is an obvious danger.
16.15 – Race 8 | Class 3 – 1200m
Selections: 5/9/4
NORDIC DRAGON finished a neck behind Romantic Son in his last start. He is ideally suited to this course and should give another good account of himself. GALLANT VALOUR finished alongside PRAWNS ELEVEN last time. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line.
16.50 – Race 9 | Class 2 – 1200m
Selections: 5/2/4
BEAUTY DESTINY has solid form to his credit. He has been one of the season’s biggest improvers having won four of his last seven starts. FULL CREDIT is a consistent sort and he runs well for Lyle Hewitson. The combination merit healthy respect. BRAVE STAR is having his third run after a rest and should be cherry-ripe.
