G ONE EXCELLENT was narrowly beaten on the All Weather last time and can give a good account if transferring that form onto turf. NEXTMODEL and SHANGAI POWER were separated by the narrowest of margins when beaten by Star Of Wuyi last time out. TREASURE FIELD produced a good run before the break and must also be considered in this opening contest.
13:45 – Race 2 | Class 4 | 1200m

SIGHT HERO is well-drawn and nicely handicapped in this contest. He wasn’t disgraced last time when beaten 2.5 lengths by Mega Bonus and can earn his third career victory. ISLAND SHINE was also beaten 2.5 lengths in his last start. He meets the right field and should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest.
14:15 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 2200m

The striking grey CIRCUIT ELITE went gun to tape in his recent victory. He is likely to adopt similar tactics from a neat draw and may be difficult to peg back at the wire. BRIGHT KID looked a winner when beaten a short-head by Smiling Time and can threaten if seeing out the extra ground on offer.
1445 – Race 4 | Class 5 | 1800m

GRAND POWER finished runner-up behind London Luckystar over a mile last time. He was beaten half a length by OWNERS’ STAR in June and is now 4.5kgs better off at the weights. MEDIC ELITE was held up at the 200m and stayed on nicely behind shock winner Theta Hedge last time. He gets the services of Purton which suggests he is fit enough to win now.
15:15 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1200m

RATTAN KINGDOM raced wide into the straight and finished his race off strongly last time. It is encouraging that Purton has kept faith in the ride and this Richards-trained inmate shouldn’t be a maiden for much longer. HARMONY N HOME challenged strongly under a vigorous ride last time. He will benefit from a 4.5kgs apprentice claim and can challenge the top selection.
15:45 – Race 6 | Class 3 | 1000m

HEROIC MASTER backed up odds-on status last time and won easier than the margin suggests. This individual is loaded with ability and looks one of the better bets on the card. SPECIAL M finished three lengths behind the top selection last time. He is 3.5kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result. PRETTY QUEEN PRAWN went gun to tape in his recent win over this C&D. He comes in at the bottom of the weights and could be one to fill the trifecta spot.
16:15 – Race 7 | Class 2 | 1200m

ROCK YA HEART and HANDSOME BO BO stayed on well together when beaten by Whizz Kid. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them when they hit the line. REWARDING TOGETHER won well up the inside rail last time and must be respected from pole position.
16:50 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1800m

LUCKY DIAMOND was beaten just under two lengths by INTREPID WINNER last time. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. COMET SPLENDIDO ran on nicely from midfield last time and is well-weighted with apprentice Chung in the saddle. The grey NEARLY FINE stayed on strongly last time when beaten half a length by Hit The Shot and must also be considered in the lucky last!
