MISTER MONTE set the pace against stronger last time when beaten 1.5 lengths by Swot Troopers Wind. He drops back to Class 5 and should be one of the leading contenders in this opening contest.

HYPERION TREE was beaten narrowly in his last start at Sha Tin. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and is well-drawn in barrier 3. SUN OF MAKFI followed up his recent win well when runner-up on the All-weather surface. He has consistent form lines to his credit and should be right there at the business end of affairs.

NOBLE MAN was beaten just over a length over this C&D last time by subsequent winner Cordyceps One. He is likely to race on the speed and looks nicely handicapped in this type of line-up. FLASH FAMOUS finished close-up over 2000m last time. He is well-drawn and if suited to the drop in distance, should give another good account of himself.

SEE U AGAIN has placed in his last three starts and finished runner-up behind SERGEANT PEPPER last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. VIVA MAMA has consistent form lines to his credit. He comes in at the bottom of the weights and could be one to cause an upset.

HARMONY N HOME was beaten narrowly last time over this C&D and will be looking to make amends. WIND SPEEDER produced a fair comeback effort when beaten 2.5 lengths by Kokushi Musoa. He should strip a much fitter horse and is drawn alongside the top selection.

LESLIE was beaten a nose by Stoicism over this C&D last time. He looks nicely handicapped and will just need to overcome the wide draw to have a say. SPICY GRILL was only beaten by a couple of lengths last time. He will benefit from a 2.5kgs apprentice claim and should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest.

BIG TWO has placed in his last four outings. He has cracked pole, represents the in-form Whyte-Hewitson combination and looks one of the better bets on the card. OUR CREED was beaten just over a length by Cordyceps One over this C&D last time. He is only a one-time winner but has the credentials to potentially cause an upset.

RUN RUN COOL followed up back-to-back wins with two smart efforts at Sha Tin. He is in a rich vein of form and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. STOLTZ recorded the fastest time over this C&D in January and merits respect in the lucky last despite having to shoulder top weight.
