He would have come on from the run and his second run after a rest is always his best effort. He does have an awkward draw of nine, but is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field. The son of Trippi loves the mile and is the horse to beat. Pace should not be a concern as stablemate CROWN TOWERS is a known frontrunner.

It must be noted that Alesian Chief who finished fourth that day has come out and won a Grade 1 since. If suited to this track, he should be too good for this field.

HOLD MY HAND is the best bet on the programme. She ran on powerfully when finishing second over 1200m on this course, on debut. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Gold Standard would have gained from the experience and in this type of field, she should take a power of beating.

OSCAR’S WINNER has found a new lease on life since returning from a lengthy 43-week break. Her penultimate victory when winning over 1400m at Kenilworth was super-impressive. She followed that up with an equally impressive victory over 1400m at Durbanville. The daughter of Querari has shown that she has a good turn of foot. She does face her toughest test to date, but she has quality about her. From her good draw of four, she is capable of notching up her fourth career victory.
