FUTURE FLO raced from a handy position over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time, but was touched off by Nightjar. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Futura tries the 1900m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can shed his maiden tag.
Race 5: WINTER GAMES (1)
Jockey: T Godden – Trainer: M Miller
WINTER GAMES should have finished closer to the winner in his last start as he took an awkward stride at the 250m mark. He would have come on from the run and should strip much fitter. The son of What A Winter steps up to the mile and gets the blinkers fitted. If seeing out the extra distance on offer, he can return to winning ways.

CAPTAIN’S CHRISTY has good recent form lines to her name. She should have won her last start as she had to be eased at the 300m mark. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She finished second in a Grade 2 race over this C&D in her penultimate run. With luck in running, she should be the one to beat. She is carded to race on 24 December 2023 and her progress in that race will need to be monitored.

IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA ran a decent race in his first run for the Gareth van Zyl stable. He stayed on to finish fourth over a distance short of his best. He has won twice from three starts over this trip. He will strip a much fitter horse and with luck in running, he can notch up his fifth career victory.
