Race 6
REWRITE THE STARS is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has her hat-trick attempt here after winning her last start over this distance by half a length. She finished strongly to win going away that day and although drawn in gate seven, she is taken as the best bet on today’s program. APOLLO has finished second in his last three runs over a variety of different distances, the latest being a head defeat over 1300M, despite hanging in the latter stages. She has a handy draw of two and could be the biggest danger to the top choice. DARK MISSION is another 4yr old filly who won her last outing over six furlongs when returning from a 17-week rest. She took a sharp drop in distance that day, but if able to confirm that effort, she should be involved in the finish here.

Race 7
ESSENTIAL SPICE is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she had her consistency rewarded with a victory last time out over this c&d. She is drawn the widest of them all, but she should be picking off the frontrunners over the closing stages of the race. GUNS OF NAVARONE is seldom far off the action and ended up in second place last time out over the c&d, despite shifting about in the straight. He has a kinder draw of gate two and should be right up there when they hit the line. SARACINO has his peak run today and finished second in this latest outing over five furlongs, just 0.8L behind the victor. From gate six, he should be included in all bets.

Race 8
CLIFFS OF COMFORT returns from a 17-week rest but finished second in his barrier trial to prove his well-being. He has won three on the bounce, the latest over 1100M by just under a length. He is drawn the widest of the lot which won’t make things easy for him, but nevertheless, he could still be the one to side with here. MISSING PRO is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she also won her last outing over 1100M, despite coming wide into the straight. She is drawn in gate eight and should be respected in this line-up. SILKINIZE made good late progress before being beaten by a neck last time out over five furlongs. He jumps from gate five and should turn in another honest performance here. DANNY GEORGE has pulled pole position and has his second run after an 18-week absence from the race track. He finished third in his comeback run a half-length adrift of the winner and if not in need of one more outing, he should be a factor here.

Race 9
BOMBAY STYLE has cracked pole position and goes for his hat-trick here after winning his last two outings over this c&d, the latest by a neck when only getting a clear run very late. ACONITE is a 6yr old mare taking on the boys, but she followed up her penultimate run victory over seven furlongs with a fourth place finish over the c&d, 4.1L behind the winner. She has a wideish draw of gate eight, but on the plus side, she will get 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. MONTELENA is a 4yr old filly who stayed on well when finishing fourth last time out over seven furlongs. From draw two, she should be right up there in the mix.
