Race 3: No12 – SUMMER LOVER

This has cut up in favour of SUMMER LOVER who can land the spoils. With Dynamic Duo scratched the main pick has a great chance to build on an earlier effort that saw her in the money at Sandown-Hillside. With just three career starts under her belt, there is room for the small amount of improvement needed to win this on comeback. Chap’s Dream is another to watch out for should positive market exchanges head in his direction, while any support for newcomer Bon Spot would make him a player.

Race 4: No9 – SIGN SEAL DELIVER
Trainer: Matt Cumani – Jockey: Damien Oliver
Three stand out in this and while respect is paid to the consistency of Rokara and Forliah, SIGN SEAL DELIVER should have the edge. Englishman Cumani has engaged the services of Melbourne’s champion jockey and will look to recover the losses sustained when his blinkered gelding was beaten into second on a soft track at Echuca. That run possibly reads better than Rokara’s bold attempt to make all at Mornington, the second time he’d been placed in three outings this season. Sign Seal Deliver should be able to track fast-starting Forliah from the outer gates and swoop to conquer in the closing stages.

Race 5: No5 – SIERRA SUE

SIERRA SUE is in the perfect spot to make this 1732m handicap her third win at the track. Connections appear to have made a good choice opting to return to her happy hunting ground over a race at Geelong tomorrow. From a form perspective, she holds all the cards, last time failing by just a head to hold Affair To Remember at Sandown-Lakeside after a stylish win over 1400m here. She can put paid to the claims of Aree Al, on whom a gamble was narrowly foiled at the same venue last time, and convincing Mornington winner High Done.

Race 8: No5 – BELLARINE BEAUTY
Trainer: Leon & Troy Corstens – Jockey: John Allen
BELLARINE BEAUTY runs with the consistency of a Rolex watch and is the one the others have to overcome in an interesting nightcap. She gained her only success at Kilmore but has placed in each of her other four career starts, going down by just a neck on her latest outing at Mornington. An interesting foe is Ididitforlove who is 1-1 after overcoming an awkward start to score at Terang, and therefore something of an unknown quantity. Arigato is carded to improve on a needed first run back, and has good each-way claims.
