Race 4
MANAGUA showed the expected improvement second time out when finishing fourth over six furlongs, 4.6L back. He was returning from a 38 week break that day and gets blinkers re-fitted for today’s run. Despite being drawn out a gate nine, he looks to be the one that they all have to beat here. AUSZONE takes a further drop in distance from the 1700M of his last outing and could do better as a result. FIOR THE TIGER has only had the two runs to date. He steps up from two sprints to the seven furlongs and is drawn the widest of them all, but if taking to the extra ground, he could be involved in the finish. AMERICAN HONOR took a bump at the 250M mark last time out over 1300M and should have finished closer as a result. Given better luck in running today, he should be considered for minor money.

Race 5
WILLO TITTO is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the action and finished third last time out over 1300M, just two lengths off the winner when returning from a 23 week rest. From her two draw, she should give the males a good run for their money. DOLLSON returns from a 23 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. He did however have consistent form before the break and if not too much in need of the run, he could be the biggest danger to the top pick, jumping from his pole position. DAUNTING WARRIOR has finished second in his last three outings over 1500M and will be hoping to go one better here. He is drawn fourteen out sixteen runners, but he likely to be doing his best work late. THUNDEROUS STRIKE has an ever worse draw, being stuck out one gate wider than the latter, but he was staying on well last time out over six furlongs and should appreciate the extra ground on offer today.

Race 6
MACCHINA VOLANTE has won three races on the bounce, the latest being over 1430M. He has a wideish nine draw, but will be looking to complete his quartet of victories here. VIKING RAID has got closer to the winner in his last three outings and finished second last time out over 1300M, only a head behind the victor. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be hoping to make amends here. ARCALETTE is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she made good late progress to win her latest race over 1500m and from a handy four draw, she should ensure that the boys know that they have been in a race. GROUP THINK won his maiden race last time out over 1500M, by some two lengths. He takes on stronger here, but he might just be up to the task on hand.

Race 7
This looks a tricky race to end the day’s program and some caution is advised. ESKIMO COMMANDER had his consistency rewarded with a win last time out over six furlongs. He led from start to finish that day and with similar tactics today, he may prove difficult to overhaul over the closing stages. His handy gate four is a plus. LUCAP followed up his penultimate win over 1300m with a second-place finish over seven furlongs in his next outing. He was just one length back that day and looks the immediate danger to the top selection. PIERINO was a little disappointing last time out over 1500m and was immediately rest for 21 weeks. He drops in trip here and has not had a barrier trial, but if not finding the distance too sharp, he should be right up there in the mix. TOFFEE DROP is a 6yr old mare taking on boys and returns from a 32 week break. She too has not had a barrier trial, but she has cracked pole position and should be included in all bets.

Race 4
TRISKANA is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has only had the two runs to date and finished second last time out over a mile when returning from a 36 week break. She was just 1.3L back that day and from her handy four gate, she looks to be the one that they all have to beat. CARLIN TREND showed good improvement last time out over the mile. He is drawn one outside the former and if he can confirm that last effort, he could trouble the top pick. WHO LOVES THE ZOU showed marked improvement second time out when stepping up in trip. He goes even further today, which should be to his liking. CIRCUS BOUND finished some way back when second last time out over a mile, but he may be looking for this greater test of stamina.

Race 5
The top four selections all have wide draws to deal with, but they are drawn alongside each other, so none of them will have too great an advantage. STORMY ROCK showed the expected improvement when finishing second in only his second start. He was beaten in the shadow of the post and despite the fact that he has the widest draw of them all, he should be right up there when they hit the line. GLOCK finished third last time out over this six-furlong trip, just under two lengths behind the winner. On that performance, he should be involved in the finish here. ULTIMATE THINKER is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She takes a step up in trip after three runs over 1100M and may do better as a result. BONDI BLUE returns from a 35 week break during which time he was gelded. He has had three barrier trials, winning the latest to prove his fitness and should be respected in this lime-up.

Race 6
STRAIGHT TORQUE won by half a length over six furlongs on debut. He would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he may be able to complete his double today, starting from his handy four draw. BOWERY BREEZE is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she stayed on well in her last outing over six furlongs and could challenge the top choice. OAKSASTAR is another 3yr old filly. She has her first run after a 15 week rest, but did put in a solid barrier trial to demonstrate her well-being. She drops back from the mile, but did win over this distance three runs back, so this should not be an issue. CAPRI OF TUFFY is yet another 3yr old filly who drop back in trip, but she has her peak run here and should be considered in this field.

Race 7
SHADOW BRIDGE has shown gradual improvement in his last two runs, only getting beaten a short head last time out over 1100M. He likes to race up with the pace and should be right there in the dash down to the wire. MATOWATAKPE finished strongly when beaten 0.4L last time out over five furlongs when returning from a 22 week rest. If not needing one more run, he should be taken seriously here. DIZZY MISS LIZZY is a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she stayed on well in her last outing over five furlongs and although having a wide draw of ten to negotiate, she should be respected. CLASSY ANNA is a 5yr old mare who returns from a 38 week break and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. She has pulled pole position and had consistent formlines to her credit before the rest.

Race 8
MY BLUE JEANS is seldom far off the action and finished third last time out over 1300M, just under a length behind the victor. He will be looking to turn in another honest performance today. RUTHLESS AGENT was beaten a length last time out over the six furlongs and will get 2kg removed from his back thanks to his claiming apprentice which will aid his cause. THOR’S THUNDER followed up his penultimate win over seven furlongs with a second-place finish over 1500M next time out. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and has the early gate speed to overcome his poor draw. CONSTANZIA is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she has her hat-trick outing here after winning her last two starts over 1300M. The manner in which she has dealt with the opposition in those wins would suggest that this is very much on the cards.

HORORA VEL was only reeled in very late last time out when finishing fifth over 1300M and is sure to enjoy going over this slightly shorter trip. He may just be able to keep rolling and hold off all challengers in the closing stages to record his second career victory. He is made the value bet on today’s program. HASTY HEART is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys and returns from a 25 week break. She has her first run for her new trainer and if fully settled into her new surroundings, she could be the biggest danger to the top pick. MONKEY MAGIC is a 6yr old mare who has put in two solid last performances, the latest being a second-place finish over six furlongs. From her three draw, she should be involved in the finish. BORELLA showed good improvement in his last outing over five furlongs and would have some sort of chance if he is able to confirm that effort.
Race 6
GINGER BEER has his first run after a 27 week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial. He does however go for his hat-trick after winning his last two starts over this c&d before the break. He is drawn the widest of them all, but if not too much in need of the run, he could complete the trio. ORIENTAL GIRL is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She returns from a 13 week absence and has her first outing for her new conditioner, but she missed out on her hat-trick last time out when fourth, 1.9L behind the winner over five furlongs. If fully acclimatized in her environment, she could threaten the former. Her pole position is an obvious plus. HOT SHOT HARRY is drawn one outside the latter and was only outrun late last time out over the c&d when 0.9L behind the winner. He should be included in all bets. DISTRICT has posted two solid last runs over sprints and although jumping from gate eight out of nine, he should be considered in this line-up.
Race 7
With the one late scratching, a small field of seven runners faces the starter here. SILENT EXPLORER put 4.3L between himself and the balance of the field when winning last time out over 1250M at this venue. He steps up in trip, but has cracked pole position and looks hard to oppose here. VIA BALCIANO has finished second in his last three outings, the latest when only 0.3L back over this distance. He looks to be the one to chase the former home. SCHERZOSO showed good improvement last time out when second over 1500M, one length behind the victor. From gate two, he should be considered a threat. TAMBO’S HEART showed marked improvement last time out, but will need to confirm that effort if he is to threaten the first choice.
Race 8
A 4yr old filly and two 5yr old mares could dominate the finish to this race and complete the trifecta. The narrow top choice goes to FOXY FELINE who has posted consistent formlines to her name. She finished second last time out over this distance, just a length and a half behind the winner and from her mid-field draw, she should be right up there when they hit the line. BANK TELLER improved last time out when stepping up from six furlongs to the 1300M and takes a further hike in distance. If suited to the extra ground, she should keep the former honest. PURRHAPS has shown gradual improvement in her recent two outings and ended up fourth last time out over 1300M. She starts from gate four and should be involved in the finish today. AKILEOS won from gun to wire last time out over the c&d and is sure to attempt similar tactics here.
Race 9
MOSEF showed good improvement last time out when stepping up from seven furlongs to the ten furlongs. He has gate two and would only have to reproduce that last effort to end up in the winner’s box today. WHITTERICK has recorded two solid outings over shorter distances, but would be a major player in this field if he handles the extra journey. PLEASURE BOMB is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she won going away last time out over a mile suggesting that the extra distance will be to her liking. RED PHANTOM steps up in trip after finishing second last time out over a mile. He was friendless in the betting markets that day, but if that was not just a one-off effort, he should be respected here.
