Race 5
DIODE was beaten a head last time out over six furlongs when returning from a 19 week rest, but he did win over this distance three runs back. From his handy draw of two, he looks to be the value bet on today’s program. DEADLY SINS missed out on his hat-trick when finishing sixth, 4.2L behind the winner when also returning from a 19 week break. He has a wide draw of thirteen to negotiate, but if not needing one more outing, he could threaten the top choice. BACCHUS last effort over 1300M was a bit disappointing, but if bouncing back to the form that saw him winning over a mile three runs back, he should be involved in the finish here.
Race 6
OXLEY JACK stayed on well when finishing third last time out over six furlongs. He had chalked up two second place finishes in his two runs prior to that and should turn in another honest performance today. CELERITATE REGEM had his consistency rewarded with a narrow victory last time out over six furlongs. He does have to overcome a wide nine draw, but he should be right up there when they hit the line. BUCK BAY has cracked pole position and was making good late progress when showing marked improvement in his last outing over six furlongs. A repeat of that effort would make him a danger to the top two selections.
Race 7
This looks like a tricky F&M Handicap and some caution is advised. The tentative top pick goes to SALTY KISSES who has solid form over five furlongs. She messed up the start last time out when just over a length behind the winner and might have just about won the race but for that. She jumps from gate seven and should be respected in this line-up. RAVEN’S BLAZE did not appear to enjoy going over six furlongs last time out and returns to what would appear to be a more suitable five furlongs trip and may do better as a result. SNAP CRACKLE BOOM has only had the two runs to date, winning on debut over this distance. She was immediate rested for 31 weeks after finishing sixth second time out over five furlongs and return here without having had the benefit of a barrier trial, but if not too much in need of the outing, she should be included in all bets. LING LING has her first run after a 25 week rest and has also not had a barrier trial. She is however a speedy sort who may prove difficult to reel in over the closing stages of the contest.
Race 8
GRINZINGER ALLEE has consistent form over a mile, finishing second last time out, just one length behind the victor, despite being hampered in the running, which makes the effort that much more encouraging. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and although stepping up in trip here, he may prove difficult to topple here. MAGAZINE is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she won her last outing over ten furlongs by some 2.8L when taking on the greater distance. She has a handy gate two and could be the immediate danger to the former. AUF WEIDERSEHEN on the other hand has a wide draw of twelve, but he did win his latest outing over twelve furlongs and should have no issues with going the shorter journey.

Race 4
Two 3yr old fillies look like they will fight out the finish to this race and could complete the exacta. ELEGANT GRACE has put in two solid efforts winning her penultimate outing over 1300M and then staying on well to finish second last time out over this c&d, just 1.3L behind the winner. From draw three, she could be the one to side with today. NISHKA had her consistency rewarded with a last start victory over 1300M. She is drawn one gate outside the former and should chase her all the way down to the line. Although VIENNA RAIN finished eighth in his last outing over 1500M, he was just 1.3L behind the winner. He likes to race up with the pace and seems likely to enjoy going over the shorter distance of today’s contest. AL SNIP is another 3yr old filly. She was making good late progress when ending up a head behind the victor last time out over five furlongs. She starts from a mid-field draw and should give a good account of herself here.
Race 5
This appears to be an open contest, with many having solid chances to emerge victorious. The top three picks in the race however renew their rivalry today and a form reversal seems likely. EUGENIO finished 0.1L behind TRUE MARVEL in their last clash over twelve furlongs, but is 2.5kgs better off at today’s weights and as such, he should be able to turn the tables on his conqueror today. SHANGANI PATROL finished 1.5 lengths off the second choice in that same race, but as the pair meet on the same weight terms here, he may battle to overturn that last result. SHE’S A TREASURE is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she has consistent staying form to her name and should be considered for all bets.
Race 6
DANCING GIDGET is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has cracked pole position and has her hat-trick attempt here. She won over six furlongs last time out when returning from a 15 week rest, but did win her penultimate start over 1500M, so the step up to seven furlongs should not be an issue. She is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. SUAVE returns from a 32 week break, but he has put in two encouraging barrier trials to prove his fitness. He missed out on his trio of wins when finishing fourth last time out over 1300M and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways here. DIO D’ORO is seldom far off the action and was only 2.2L back in his last outing over six furlongs. He has his peak run today and despite having the widest draw of them all, he should be involved in the finish.
Race 7
GHOSTLY has consistent formlines to his credit and has finished second in his last two runs, the latest being over this distance. He was friendless in the betting markets that day and although he is drawn wide out at gate twelve, be should be doing his best work late and appears to be the value in the race. EXCELTIC has solid form to his name and was a head winner of his last outing over this trip. He has his peak run here and will certainly put his pole position to good use. MILITARY ACADEMY has encouraging form and chased hard over the closing stages last time out before finished a head back over 1300M. He jumps from draw three and should be right up there in the mix.

Race 3
BILLY AIN’T SILLY finished third on debut over five furlongs, just a neck behind the winner. He finished well that day suggesting that the extra distance will be to his liking and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s program. CLASSIC MAGNUS is a filly taking on the boys. She has her first run after a 20 week rest, but has had the benefit of a barrier trial to prove her well-being. She did finish fourth on debut before going on her break and from gate two, she could pose the biggest danger to the top choice. EMPIRE REIGN makes his debut after having had three barrier trials, winning the latest. Any betting support for him should be respected.

Race 5
EXPRESSIONIST made good improvement when winning his maiden contest last time out over this trip when returning from a 20 week rest. He takes on stronger today, but he could be up to the task on hand. FALSE STATEMENT lacked his usual finish when a tad disappointing last time out over six furlongs, but he has cracked pole position and will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways here. MEGADON on the other hand has to deal with a wide ten gate, but he has posted solid effort in his last two outings and was running on strongly in his penultimate start over 1300M. He should be involved in the finish today.

Race 6
This looks to be an extremely open F&M Handicap where wide draws for the top four selections are the order of the day and some caution is suggested. PLETTO missed out on completing her hat-trick when beaten a neck into second place last time out over this c&d. She was immediately rested for a lengthy 44 week and returns here after putting in a solid barrier trial. She has a wide draw of fifteen, but she posses good gate speed which she is likely to use to move across without having to use up too much energy. SHOWZALI is not drawn much better in gate twelve. She finished strongly to be just a half length back in her last start over six furlongs and should be picking off the frontrunner in the closing stages of the race. PUT A SPELL ON YOU is drawn between the pair at gate fourteen. She will be aided by having 3kgs removed from her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. AMELIA BEDELIA is drawn the best of the quartet in gate ten and will also be in receipt of a 3kg apprentice allowance. She won her last outing over 1100M and could complete the double here.

Race 7
POSITION OF POWER had his consistency rewarded with a victory last time out over this c&d. He held off all late challengers that day and if showing the same determination here, he could complete his double. His handy draw of three is a plus. STORMY RULER won by just over a length last time out over seven furlongs and will have 3kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. He jumps from draw six and should be right up there when they hit the line. ONE SHORT showed good improvement when finishing second last time out over six furlongs. He was staying on well and should relish the extra ground on offer here.

Race 8
BALLADEER followed up his penultimate win over 1300M with a fifth-place finish over the same trip next time out, despite playing up in the starting stalls. He is drawn in gate two and if better behaved today, be looks to be the value in the race. ZIP ZAM ZOOM finished well to record his maiden victory by a head last time out over 1300M. He hung in the closing stages that day, but if keeping to a straight passage home here, he might be good enough to record his double. DIVINE QUEST is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She finished second in her penultimate start over his c&d and then got her tongue over the bit in her last outing over a mile. She should not be overlooked here.
