Race 6
This looks to be a tricky race to open up the Jackpot and some caution is suggested. NUMBER ONE STAR is going for his hat-trick here and stayed on strongly to win his last outing over 1500M, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to his liking. He jumps from gate three and should be right up there when they hit the line. TEE TRAIN followed up his penultimate run victory over a mile with a staying on third last time out over this c&d, 2.4L off the winner. He is drawn wideish at gate nine, but on the plus side, he will have 1.5kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. REWARDING RUBY is drawn one outside the latter and is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she had her consistency rewarded with a win last time out over a mile. She put two and a half lengths between herself and the opposition that day and should give the males a good run for their money today. BOLTOUTOFTHEBLUE finished fourth in his last outing over 1700M after posting two second-place finishes in his two prior starts. He is drawn very wide out at sixteen, but he should be doing his best work late.
Race 7
BASTYAN steps up in distance after putting in three solid efforts over five furlongs. He was making good late progress in his last run and looks likely to relish the extra trip. From his gate five, he could be the one to side with here. FABIAN’S SPIRIT is drawn one outside the top selection and returns from a 19-week break without having the benefit of a barrier trial. As such, his fitness will have to be taken on trust, but if not too much in need of the outing, he should be involved in the finish today. DEEP DIVE has cracked pole position. He overraced early in his last start when seventh over five furlongs, but be understandably had nothing to come in the closing stages that day and if settling here, he should be right up there in the mix.
Race 8
CATADUDE is having his hat-trick attempt after winning his last start over six furlongs and his previous outing over five furlongs. He now faces the in-between distance which should be right up his street. He has draw 10 to negotiate but will have 1.5kgs taken off his back courtesy of his claiming apprentice. As such, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. CHINA AFFAIR has claimed pole position and missed out on his trio of wins when finishing fifth last time out over six furlongs. He was hanging in the latter stages of that race and should have finished closer to the winner as a result. He gets an even greater 3kgs removed from his allocated weight for the services of his claiming apprentice. HORTENSE is a 3yr old filly taking on males and returns from a 18-week rest with having a barrier trial. She did however look like a winner 250M from home in her last outing over five furlongs before the break and if not short of a run, she should be considered in this line-up drawn at gate four.

Race 9
REINE HAPPY held on determinedly when recording his last win over 1300M, this after finishing second in his previous two outings over the same trip. He is drawn in gate seven and will get a full 4kgs removed from his allocated weight thanks to his claiming apprentice. If showing the same amount of courage here, he looks to be the value bet on the day. HASSLEFREE missed out on his hat-trick last time out over 1300M when 2.3L behind the winner. He was forced to race wide that day, but has a handy draw of two today and should get a rails run. SERENGETI has his first run since a 20-week break and has not had a barrier trial. He held on well to win his last start over a mile before the rest and should have little issue with the drop in distance. His wide draw of 10 is a bit of a concern, but he should still be included in all bets.

Race 3
SWEEPING BROOK has finished second in his first two runs and was only just beaten a short-head last time out over seven furlongs. The blinkers are removed for today’s run and whilst draw the widest of them all, on the plus side he will have 3kg taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. He may prove very difficult to topple here and is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. HAPPY BABE made good late progress when finishing fifth on debut over six furlongs. He jumps from gate four and with the natural improvement that can be expected, he could fill the exacta position. ALKAAMEL stayed on well when third in his last outing over six furlongs, only 0.9L behind the winner. He starts from gate eight and should be involved in the finish here.

Race 5
Two 3yr old and a 4yr old filly could fight out the finish to this race and complete the trifecta. MY ROSE MY KINGDOM went from jump to wire to win her maiden race last time out over this c&d. She put 3.3L between herself and the balance of the field and should make her draw three count. She will also have 1.5kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. MOETTA has only had the two runs to date, winning over 1100M at the second time of asking when returning from a 25-week break. She starts from gate seven and could prove to be the biggest danger to the top choice. A FORTUNATE LASS finished strongly when showing good improvement in her last outing to finish second over 1100M, only a short-head behind the victor. On that effort, she should relish going over the extra ground on offer here.

Race 6
BUZZ won his last start over the c&d by 2.8L. He likes to race up with the pace in his races so his draw eight should not be such an issue. DARK EURO, on the other hand, has cracked pole position. He is seldom far off the action and ended up in second place last time out over seven furlongs when resuming after a 13-week rest. AL SNIP is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she has finished second in her last two outings, the latest over the c&d, and will be hoping to go one better today. She is drawn very wide out at gate fourteen, but she gets a set of blinkers fitted for the first time today and will have a 1.5kg claiming apprentice in the irons. She should not be easily dismissed in this line-up. BOLSON is a 2yr old colt taking on older horses. He won his maiden race last time out over six furlongs and has a handy two draw. He steps up in distance but does have his peak run here.

Race 7
This looks to be an open race and some caution is advised. Although MR POLAR finished sixth in his last start over this c&d, he was only 2.3L back from the winner. He finished strongly that day and whilst having a wideish draw at gate nine, he should be picking off the frontrunner over the latter stages of the contest. TALLIS is a speedy sort who led the whole way when winning his latest outing over this trip. He has a wide gate of fifteen, but he should use his early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy. OUR BELLAGIO MISS is a 3yr old pacey filly who takes on males. She has won two of her last three starts, both over the 1100M and she is drawn one outside the latter, but she should be right up there with the early leaders. TITUS showed good improvement when winning a head in his last start over 1100M. He is drawn in gate twelve, but will enjoy a 1.5kgs apprentice allowance and should be doing his best work late.

Race 8
THISWILLDOUS has consistent formlines to his name and won his penultimate start over this distance. He followed that up with a short-head defeat next time out over 1500M. He showed plenty of determination that day and if showing the same courage here, he could prove to be the value bet in the race. With the late scratchings, he come into gate eight. VIENNA RAIN won his last outing over the c&d by one length and will now jump from gate ten. He should use his early speed to negate the wideish draw. JUST SOCIETY was a jump to wire victor of this last start over the mile. He is likely to adopt the same tactics in today’s race and could be difficult to reel in over the closing stages.

Race 6
ALL STAR ROCKET is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys, but she was a winner of two of her last three runs, the latest over this c&d in good going, where she put two and a half lengths between herself and the rest of the opposition. With the late scratchings, she now comes into gate ten and is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. BRAD missed out on his hat-trick last time out when second over five furlongs. He is drawn one inside the top choice and did battle all the way down to the wire in that last run and if showing the same amount of determination here, he could threaten the top pick. CATMOSPHERE has improved in his last two outings and did finish second in his penultimate start over this distance. He is drawn the widest of them all, but he should use his early gate speed to move across without using up too much energy.
Race 7
This looks to be an open race with plenty of runners in with realistic chances of taking the top prize. DEADLY CHOICES missed out on his hat-trick when finishing fourth last time out over six furlongs, just under a length behind the winner. He was hanging in the latter stages of that contest and might have won but for that. He has a wide draw of thirteen to negotiate, but with a bit of luck in running, he should be right up there when they hit the line. DOCTOR ZOUS has an even worse draw, being stuck out the widest of them all, but he kept going well to hold off all challengers to win his last start over six furlongs. He is likely to elect to go to the front from the jump and could prove difficult to overhaul in the latter stages. INQUIRY, on the other hand, will start from gate two. He won his penultimate outing over 1300M and is very much one for the shortlist. SPACE TIME is seldom far off the action and finished second in his last start over six furlongs, just 0.3L behind the victor, despite being friendless in the betting market. He should be included in all bets.
Race 8
BEST HOFFA stayed on well when finishing second over this trip last time out. He had previously posted two solid efforts over a mile and clearly enjoyed going the extra distance. He has gate ten to overcome, but he nevertheless looks to be the value bet on today’s program. SHIRANDA and BUSTER BLOCK renew their rivalry today. The former won his last outing over nine furlongs by some 4.3L. He took over the lead at the 150M mark that day and stayed on gamely for the victory. He is however drawn wide out at gate fifteen which won’t make things easy for him. The latter finished 4.7L behind the former in the run mentioned above, but is 2kgs better off at today’s weights. He also has a much kinder draw of gate two. There should not be too much separating the pair when they reach the finishing post.
Race 9
PLANET WARRIOR has pulled pole position and stayed on really well when finishing third in his last two outings, the penultimate of which was when he was just under two lengths behind the winner over this c&d. NORTH AFRIKA held off all challengers in the latter stages to win his last start over a mile by some 1.8L. He is drawn one outside the top pick and looks to be his immediate danger. STYLISH LUCK finished second in his last run over a mile and may well be looking for this greater test of stamina. He should be respected in this field.
