Race 4
THE BUMBLEBEE is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she has consistent formlines to her name and was making good late progress when finishing fifth, just 1.7L back last time out over five furlongs. She has the widest draw of the lot, but given her style of running, she should be doing her best work over the closing stages of the contest. ACCEPTILE stayed on well when ending up in second place last time out over this distance. The gelding has a kinder six draw and could be the biggest danger to the top choice. SECLUDE is another 5yr old mare in the race. She has been disappointing in her last two starts, but she has cracked pole position here and did win over this c&d three runs back.
Race 5
COUP just couldn’t hold on for the victory last time out over 1210M when hitting the front in the home straight. He has a handy gate two and will have the blinkers re-fitted for today’s run. The drop in distance is sure to be to his liking and he may prove to be difficult to topple here. SWAN ISLAND is a 4yr old filly taking on males. She drops in distance from the 1300M of her latest outing to what appears to be a more suitable 1100M. She has a wideish draw of eight, but nevertheless, she should be involved in the finish here. RUN PAM RUN is a 6yr old mare who is drawn one inside the latter. She lacked a strong finish when four lengths back in her last outing over 1200M in soft going and seems sure to appreciate the drop in trip.

Race 6
MAC’S BOY has made steady improvement in his last three outings, culminating in a victory last time out over six furlongs. He is drawn wideout at 10, but he may well be able to complete his double here and is taken to be the value bet on today’s card. UNO EYNO is a 6yr old mare taking on boys, but she is seldom far off the action and stayed on well when fifth last time out over 1100M. She has a wide draw of eighteen to overcome, but on the plus side, she will have 1.5kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice. PATCHE GIFT on the other hand has pulled pole position. He was making good late progress when finishing a neck behind the victor last time out over five furlongs and could relish going over the extra furlong today.
Race 7
BESTERS finished strongly to end up in second spot last time out over seven furlongs. The form of that race has been franked and although he is drawn out wide at gate thirteen, he should be picking off the leaders in the run down to the wire. SINGLE AGAIN is a 4yr old filly taking on males, but she recorded a win last time out over six furlongs, despite hanging over the closing stages. She has her peak run here and from gate eight, she should ensure that the boys know that they have been in a race. MILITARY KINGS finished second in his last outing over 1500M but was demoted into third place after an objection. He was involved with some bumping in the dash down to the line that day, but with a clear passage here, he could threaten the top two picks.
