Race 3
INDIAN PACIFIC narrowly failed to complete his hat-trick last time out over six furlongs when only collared late. The drop in trip will be to his liking and despite being drawn the widest of them all, he is still made the best bet on today’s program. FIRE AND RAIN has not been far off the winner in his last three outings over this distance and from a handy gate four, he looks to be the biggest danger to the top choice. NIGHT VOYAGE is drawn one inside the latter and has solid form over the five furlongs. He should be doing his best work late to complete the trifecta.

Race 6
LEVITATE had his consistency rewarded when putting over four lengths between himself and the balance of the field last time out over six furlongs and was only beaten a head three runs back over this c&d. He jumps from gate two and will get 1.5kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. CAPTAIN KINK has won twice over six furlongs in his last three outings and the step up to 1300M should not be an issue. His four draw is a plus. SEMINOLE BRAVE is drawn between the top two selections and missed out on his hat-trick last time out when finishing second over six furlongs. He did not get the clearest of passages that day and should have finished closer to the winner as a result.

Race 7
RED CAN MAN has pulled pole position and will be looking to post four victories on the bounce. His last win was over 1100M, but he did triumph over six furlongs three runs back, so the step up in distance should not be a problem. He returns from a 16-week rest but did win his barrier trial to prove his well-being. CUP NIGHT has his first run after a 21-week break, but he has had the benefit of two barrier trials, winning the latest. He is stuck out wide at gate eleven out of twelve, but he should nevertheless be involved in the finish here. LOCKROY has made steady improvement in his last two outings and has his peak run here. If he has continued down that same path, he should be right up there when they hit the line. ELECTRIC LIGHT is a 5yr old mare taking on the boys, but she is seldom far off the winner and finished fifth last time out over five furlongs, 2.7L behind the winner after having been held up when being denied a clear run. She should be included in all bets.

Race 8
Two 4yr old fillies could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta. INSPIRATIONAL GIRL will be hoping to achieve a quartet of wins on the trot when she lines up here after winning her latest start by one and a half lengths over the c&d. She was returning from a 20-week rest that day and her handy three draw is an advantage. SERENITY BAY has her peak run today and followed up her comeback run victory over this c&d with a third-place finish over a mile, just 0.6L back. She starts from gate six and should put in another honest performance here. Although PROCONSENT finished fifth last time out over the mile, he was just 1.3L behind the winner after looking a likely winner close to home. He is drawn one outside the latter and should be respected in this line-up.

Race 9
POSITION OF POWER is looking for his hat-trick here after finishing strongly to win his latest outing over the c&d by a head. He has gate two and the trio of wins looks very much on the cards. ABERDEEN QUEEN is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She won her penultimate start over a mile and then finished second over the same trip next time out, only 0.4L behind the victor. She attracted plenty of betting support that day and will be hoping to make amends here. She has a wide draw of thirteen to negotiate, but she should use her early gate speed to move across without expending too much energy. BOBCAT JOHNNIE has his peak run here after being beaten a head last time out over this seven-furlong journey. He should be right up there in the mix from gate five.
