Race 4.
INVINCIBLE NINJA returns
from a 21 week rest, but has won both of her barrier trials to showcase her
well-being. She jumped awkwardly when finishing fifth on debut over six
furlongs and would have learnt from the outing. She starts from gate four and
looks to be the one to side with here. ONLY MINE has only had the two runs
to date. She was eased out of her last start at the 700M as she was making an
abnormal respiratory noise and was immediately rested for 23 weeks. She returns
here after having had three barrier trials, where she won two of them. She will
have to negotiate the widest draw of them all at gate twelve, but she should
still be involved in the finish today. DIVINE INTAVENTION has her first run
since a 27 week absence, but did put in an encouraging barrier trial. She has a
wideish draw of nine, but gets the services of ex-SA jockey Keagan Latham so
will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. There are four first
timers in the race, so keep an eye on the betting to see if any of them are
fancied by their connections to win on debut.

Race 5.
LA TIGRESA won her maiden
race last time out over this trip by just under a length, despite having to be
checked at the 1100M mark. She has her peak run here and from a handy draw two,
she is taken to be the value bet on today’s card. OBIRI had made steady recent
improvement culminating with her maiden victory last time out over 1300M. She
kept going well all the way down to the wire that day and a repeat of that
effort would see her as a serious challenger to the top choice. AMORITA is
seldom far off the action and was bumped entering the straight when eventually
finishing seventh last time out over six furlongs. She is drawn in gate four
and on that last run, she should enjoy going over the extra ground here.

Race 6.
LOVE TAP is
two from two starts and put over four lengths between himself and the
opposition when winning his last outing over six furlongs. He clearly has some
ability and the manner in which he dealt with the field that day would suggest
that the extra ground on offer here will not be an issue. From draw three, the
hat-trick looks very much on the cards and he is made the best bet on the
program. BLESK overraced early last time out over seven furlongs
and then understandably had nothing to offer in the closing stages. He has
cracked pole position and if settling today, he could be the immediate danger
to the top pick. MILITARY ACADEMY has consistent
formlines to his name and stayed on well to finish fourth in his latest outing
over 1300M. He has drawn four and should be considered here.

Race 7.

PRINCE OF ARRAGON has
finished second in his last two runs, the latest over this distance when just
under a half length off the victor. He likes to race handy in his races, so
should have little problem dealing with his draw seven. FIRST COURRIER followed
up his penultimate run victory with a second place finish next time out over
ten furlongs, just a head back from the winner. He fought all the way down to
the line and should relish the extra ground on offer today, despite having to
start from the widest draw of nine. TOTAL RECALL steps up in distance
after just winning his last start over a mile by a short-head, but he may well
be looking for this greater test in stamina and should be included in all bets.

Race 5.
LOVE AND ROCK IT stayed on
strongly when improving to finish third, just a head behind the winner last
time out over seven furlongs. He has his peak run today after returning from a
24 week break and gets ex-SA jockey
Robbie
Fradd
in the saddle. From a handy gate two, he is taken to be the best bet on today’s
card. KATY’S DAUGHTER
is a 5yr old mare taking on the
boys, but she showed marked improvement when trying to go from jump to wire
before finishing fourth last time out over six furlongs. She jumps from draw
five and looks the immediate danger to the top choice. CONSULAR has
been slowly dropping in distance and takes another small decrease in trip here.
He has the widest draw of them all at gate eight, but should be able to
complete the trifecta.

Race 6.
BETAJET followed
up his penultimate run victory over five furlongs with a third place finish
over the same distance at this track next time out, just a head back from the
winner. He has a handy draw five and will get 2kgs taken off his back thanks to
his claiming apprentice. GRAND ZOU returns from a 29 week break
during which time he was gelded, but he has had four barrier trials to improve
his fitness. He is drawn one inside the top pick and Robbie Fradd will be
looking to complete a quick double here.
HIDDEN GLADE hit the front at the 400M
mark and then held on well to win by a head on debut over this distance. He
would have learnt from that experience and with the natural improvement that
can be expected, he may be good to make it two victories from two starts.
Race 7.
FAITH AND LOVE has
consistent formlines to her name and made good late progress to finish third
last time out over five furlongs. She attracted plenty of betting support that
day and from a handy gate three, she will be looking to make amends here. The
extra ground she takes on today should not be an issue and another honest
performance should he forthcoming.
SHE’S CROWNED has her hat-trick run after winning her last two starts
over five furlongs. She finished well to win her last outing by 0.4L, suggesting
that the extra trip will be to her liking. She has draw seven, but on the plus
side, she will have 3kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her
claiming apprentice. LADY MELBA made sudden
improvement to win her maiden race last time out over this distance. She has a
wide draw of eleven to negotiate, but is likely to use her early gate speed to
move across without expending too much energy.

Race 8.
TONY’S DECREE has finished
second in his last three runs over a variety of different distances. He battled
all the way down to the wire before ending up just a short-head back over the
1300M last time out. He faces a draw of gate nine, but he should be doing his
best work late. QUOTANT
 is a 5yr old mare
taking on males, but she won her last outing over a mile by two lengths,
despite being friendless in the betting markets. She has pulled the widest draw
of them all, but on the positive side, she will have 2kgs taken off her back
for the services of her claiming apprentice.
RHYME TIME is a 4yr old filly who did not get the
clearest of passages in the straight last time out over 1300M, by nevertheless
went on to win by half a length. She steps up in distance today, but has gate
two and if equally as effective over the extra journey, she should be right up
there in the mix.

Race 1.
CHICLETT is
a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She has her second run after a 17 week rest
after being beaten a head last time out over 1300M. She attracted plenty of
betting support that day, but raced wide and should have just about won the
race but for that. She jumps from a handy draw three and is taken to be the
best bet of the meeting. FIERY BAY is drawn one inside the
former. He has only had the two starts to date and finished second in his last
outing over 1300M. He made good late progress suggesting that the extra
distance will be to his liking. RECITING is a 3yr old filly who has her peak run today
after finishing third last time out over 1300M, just over a length behind the
winner. She stayed on well that day and despite having gate eight to overcome,
she should be involved in the finish.

Race 4.
CHOOSE FREEDOM has shown
good improvement in his last two runs, finishing second in his latest outing
over this c&d, just a head behind the winner. He finished strongly that day
and the form of the race has been franked. From gate six, be looks to be the
value bet on today’s card. BRAVE CALL also finished second in his last start
over the mile. He was making good late progress when 1.3L off the winner and
despite having to overcome the widest draw of them all at gate eleven, he
should be a factor in this line-up.
YELVERTON is seldom
too far off the action and finished a two length second last time out over
seven furlongs. He likes to race up with the pace in his races, so should put
his pole position to good use.

Race 5.
BURN ONE DOWN has
consistent form to his credit and has finished close up in his last two outings
over this trip. He
tried to make every post a winning post before
being collared very late, to be denied victory by a half length. He has a
wideish draw of eight, but on the plus side, he will get 2kg removed from his
back thanks to his claiming apprentice.
SNIPSAWAY is drawn one outside the top pick, but
he used frontrunning tactics when showing marked improvement to win his maiden
race by a head last time out over this c&d so this might not be sure an
issue. He faces stronger here, but could prove difficult to reel in over
the closing stages of the contest. MONG KHON looked a winner close to home
before being beaten by a head last time out over seven furlongs. He steps up in
distance today, but has a hand draw two and should be included in all bets.

Race 6.
STARTRADE has
consistent formlines to his name and finished second to what appears to be a
good sort last time out over six furlongs, 1.3L back. He has a wideish draw
nine, but he stayed on well that day and should appreciate the extra ground on
offer here.
MISS
MARIETTA
is a 5yr old mare taking on males, but she has
posted two solid recent runs, the latest when fourth over seven furlongs, 1.3L
behind the victor. She finished strongly after losing her position before
turning for home and could be the biggest danger to the top choice. VELAGO has
cracked pole position and has his peak run here after returning from a 37 week
rest. The blinkers are re-fitted today and if this move has the desired effect,
he should be right up there when they hit the line.

Race 7.

AMELIA BEDELIA is
a 4yr old filly taking on boys, but she battled all the way down to the wire
before finishing a half length adrift of the winner in her latest start over
the c&d. She gets to jump from gate six and could be the one to side with
here.
BLACK
DYNAMITE
followed
up his one length penultimate run victory over 1100M with a fourth place finish
over six furlongs. He returns from a 15 week rest without having had the
benefit of a barrier trial, but will start from one inside the former and
should not be lightly dismissed here. GET OVER IT has his peak run here after a 28
week break and showed good improvement when fourth last time out over five
furlongs, just under two lengths adrift of the victor. He is drawn in gate
nine, but should use his early gate speed to move across without expending too
much energy.
