Race 5
DOLLYMOLLY is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys and returns from a 23 week break, but she did finish second in her barrier trial to prove her fitness. She also finished second on debut over five furlongs and the form of that race has been franked. Despite having to overcome a wide eleven draw, she is taken to be the best bet on today’s card. SAM’S ALLYCAT is a 4yr old filly who has finished third in her last two outings over five furlongs. She has a far handier draw of gate two and will have 3kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. She could complete the exacta here. GLOBAL VENTURE is a long-time maiden, but he is seldom far off the action and finished second last time out over five furlongs, just a half length behind the winner. He is drawn in gate four and is likely to earn a minor stake once again. There are three first times in the race, so keep an eye on the betting to see if any of them are fancied by their connections.
Race 6
TRUMPED UP improved to finish second just a head behind the victor in his last outing over six furlongs. He came wide into the straight that day and should have finished closer to the winner as a result. He jumps from draw five and with better luck in running, he should be right up there when they hit the line. SIZZALATING showed marked improvement in his last start, finishing a half length back over six furlongs when returning from a 20 week absence from the race track. He has a wide draw of eleven to negotiate, but he should still be involved in the finish here. REAL APPEAL is a 3yr old filly taking on males and has her first run for her new trainer and since a 23 week rest, but she has had the benefit of two barrier trials. If fully settled into her new surroundings, she should be respected in this line-up despite having the widest draw of them all.
Race 7
A 7yr old mare and two fillies could dominate the finish to this race and complete the trifecta here. LA DALLIANCE is seldom far off the action and was only caught in the shadow of the post when finishing second last time out over six furlongs. She jumps from gate three and could be the one to side with today. FLATTER also finished second in her last outing over 1100M at this track, a neck behind the winner. She was returning from a 20 week break that day and if not in need of one more run, she should be a big danger to the top choice, even though she has a wideish nine draw. RUN THE CUTTER has her first outing for her new trainer, but if acclimatized in her new environment, she should give a good account of herself here, given some of her past form. STILL INVINCIBLE is drawn one outside the latter and returns from a lengthy 89 week break during which time he was gelded. He has put in two encouraging barrier trials to prove his well-being and should be included in all bets.
Race 8
As with the previous race, fillies could secure the trifecta in this contest. MISS ALLE BE is seldom far off the winner and finished just over three lengths back last time out over six furlongs. She has her peak run today and will get the services of ex-SA jockey Robbie Fradd, so will get all the necessary assistance from the saddle. She has gate five and looks to be the value in the race. FLYING YANKEE stayed on well in the closing stages of her last outing over 1100M, suggesting that the extra ground on offer here will be to her liking. She has an even better draw of gate two. HAYATE was making good late progress when ending up in sixth place last time out over six furlongs. She is drawn right on the outside of the field, but given her style of racing, she should be picking off the frontrunner in the closing stages of the contest.

Race 5
With the late scratching of one of his main rivals, the way may have been cleared for DESIGN ROUGE to record his fifth career victory. He had his consistency rewarded when finishing strongly to win his last outing over today’s distance by one length. He looks good enough to follow up here and is taken as the best bet on the program. SECRET VEGA disappointed last time out when not quickening to end up 6.1L behind the winner over the seven furlongs, but he did win over this trip three runs back and could complete the exacta here. YANKEE TOFF made good late progress when finishing 4.5L back in his latest outing over six furlongs. On that effort, he should enjoy going over the extra ground of today’s competition.
Race 6
SEVEN CASTLES followed up his penultimate run victory over this c&d with a fifth place finish over six furlongs, 1.4L off the victor. He has his peak run here and from his handy three gate, he could be the one to side with today. RONAY is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she missed out on completing her hat-trick when unplaced last time out over six furlongs. She had won her previous two starts over this c&d and seems certain to welcome returning to this venue. Her five draw will do her no harm. WIND FORCE has finished second in his last two runs over 1100M and will be hoping to go one better here. The extra distance should be right up his street.
Race 7
RAFFINE is a 5yr old mare taking on males. She put two lengths between herself and the balance of the field when winning last time out over seven furlongs. She takes the step up in trip and has a wideish draw of eight, but on the plus side, she will get 2kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice. BATTLE MASTER is drawn one inside the former and won his penultimate start over seven furlongs. He followed up that run with a staying on third place finish over 1500M and should be involved in the finish here. HELJAMI is a 3yr old filly who showed marked improvement when winning her last outing over the c&d. If she is able to repeat that effort today, she should be right up there in the mix, starting from her handy four draw.
Race 8
FLIRTING is a 3yr old filly taking on boys, but she has cracked pole position and has consistent formlines to her name. She finished third in her last two runs, once over five furlongs and once over fix furlongs, so the in-between 1100M should not be an issue. She looks to be the value bet on today’s card. HARLEM BLUES is a 2yr old colt bumping old horses, but he won his penultimate start over five furlongs at this track and then finished a head back last time out over six furlongs when only being overhauled very late. He jumps from gate nine, but he should be doing his best work late. HERBERT showed good improvement to win his maiden contest last time out over 1100M by some 2.3L. He takes on stronger here, but he may well be up to the task on hand.

Race 3
MR DELEGATOR has consistent formlines to his credit and finished second last time out over seven furlongs. He attracted plenty of betting support that day and from gate four today, he will be hoping to make amends here. He looks to be too good for this field and is made the best bet on today’s card. RAPITORIO is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She finished fourth last time out over seven furlongs and will get a set of blinkers fitted for the first time today. If these have the desired effect, she could emerge as the biggest danger to the top choice. CHRISELLE is a 4yr old fill who showed marked improvement last time out when fourth over the mile. She is drawn the widest of them all and is a long-time maiden, but she may be able to complete the trifecta here.
Race 4
UNIVERSAL PLEASURE is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she is seldom far off the winner and ended up third in her last outing over five furlongs, just a neck behind the victor. She was making good late progress that day and from draw three, she should give the boys a good run for their money. GINGER KNIGHT is a speedy sort who was only reeled in late when finishing third in his last start over 1100M. He has the blinkers removed for today’s run and could prove difficult to overhaul in the latter stages of the race. UNCANNY TIMING returns from a 20 week rest, but won his barrier trial to prove his well-being. He drops in trip from the six furlongs of his last outing before the break and should be involved in the finish here.
Race 5
Three 4yr old fillies could corner the trifecta market here. LADIES OF LONDON won going away from her opposition at this venue last time out over five furlongs. She had finished close up in her two runs prior to that and looks to be the value in the race. LIL’ RED BIKINI showed solid improvement in her last outing when second over six furlongs, just under a length behind the winner. She has gate four and if she is able to reproduce that last effort, she should be right up there in the firing line. Although CATIA finished seventh in her last outing over this distance, she was just 3.3L off the winner. She has a wideish draw of nine, but on the plus side, she will get 3kgs removed from her allocated weight courtesy of her claiming apprentice.
Race 6
HOTHAM VALLEY finished fourth in his latest outing over seven furlongs, only one length behind the winner. He was forced to race wide that day and with better luck in running here, he should be a leading contender in the line-up. His gate three is a plus. DOUBLE SPICE has only had two runs to date, but showed the expected improvement to win his last run over 1300M a little easier that the official margin might suggest. He is drawn one inside the top pick and if he has continued to make further progress, he should be viewed as a big runner here. CASTILLO DEL LAGO is a 2yr old colt taking on older horses, but he was also a winner at the second time of asking, in his case, over this c&d. He was returning from a 24 week rest that day, but nevertheless put four lengths between himself and the balance of the field and could be a good sort in the making. He is drawn wide at gate eleven, but should be included in all bets.
Race 7
FORGOTTEN JEWEL has won all three of his races so far, the latest over this c&d. He will be tested by having to negotiate a wide draw of fourteen, but he will be hoping to complete his quartet of victories today. BOLD SUCCESS was a neck victor of his last outing over 1700M and should have no issue with taking the step down in trip today. He has a much kinder draw of five and will have this cause aided by having 3kgs taken off his back thanks to his claiming apprentice. STORMY RULER followed up on his penultimate run win over seven furlongs with a staying on fifth place finish over the same distance. On that effort, he should find the extra ground to his liking. He gets to start from gate nine and should be a factor in this competition.
