Race 4
DREAM RUNNER missed out on his hat-trick in his last start over seven furlongs but did win his penultimate outing over today’s distance. He has gate eight out of nine, but still looks to be too good for the opposition and is made the best bet on today’s card. BRUTALITY showed good improvement when winning his maiden race last time out over 1500M. He takes on stronger here but must have chance of troubling the top choice from his gate two draw. SKY DIAMONDS is a 3yr old filly taking on the boys. She steps up from the 1300M of her last outing, but likes to race up with the pace and could be looking for this greater test of stamina.

Race 5
With the late scratching of one of his main rivals, the door may have opened for DERBARI to record his second career victory. He showed marked improvement when finishing third last time out over 1300M and if he has continued down that same path, he could be the one to side with here, starting from his handy four draw. JOSEPHUS has cracked pole position and had to be switched in the latter stages when finishing fourth over six furlongs last time out. With better luck in running today, he could be the biggest danger to the former. MY BLUE JEANS is seldom far off the action and stayed on well when third in his last outing over seven furlongs. He is sure to put in another honest performance here.

Race 6
This looks to be a tricky race and some caution is advised. CONCEALED won his penultimate start over this trip but was a little disappointing last time out over the same distance. That was however in heavy going and he may do better in today’s conditions. FENECH has pulled pole position and won at only the second time of asking. The was over today’s journey and he would no doubt have come on further with that run. As such, he should be considered a big runner in this line-up. FRAZI is a 3yr old filly taking on males. She has her first start for her new trainer and if fully settled into her new surroundings, she should give the boys a good run for their money, despite being stuck out wide at draw ten.  UNDOUBTED has an even wider gate twelve, but he has his peak run here, and given his style of racing, he should be doing his best work late.

Race 7
CHARM OFFENSIVE was scratched from the previous race, perhaps on the basis that his connections felt that he has a better chance of winning this contest. He ran on strongly when finishing third last time out over five furlongs. That was his first start in 13 weeks and he is sure to enjoy going over the extra ground. From draw six, he could represent the value in the race. TERRA REIGN is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she was eased down when victorious last time out over six furlongs. She is drawn one outside the top pick and could be his immediate danger. JOY FOR US is also a 5yr old mare who was hampered in the closing stages of her last start over this distance and should have finished closer as a result. She is drawn out at nine, but on the plus side, she will have 2kgs taken off her back thanks to her claiming apprentice.

Race 5
FULL RECOGNITION goes for his hat-trick here and the manner in which he has dealt with his opposition in his previous two victories suggests that this is very much on the cards. He has cracked pole position and could prove difficult to topple here. DISTRICT is also attempting to convert his hat-trick after winning his last two outings over the distance. He jumps from gate six and could be the immediate danger to the top choice. SPARKLY STAR returns from a 24-week rest and has not had the benefit of a barrier trial, so his fitness will have to be taken on trust. He too is on a trio of wins and from gate two, be should be involved in the finish today.

Race 6
INTENSE FOCUS has his hat-trick run here and recorded a win over this c&d in his penultimate outing. He then drew clear in the closing stages when winning last time out over six furlongs. He gets to start from gate six and should be right up there when they hit the line. DEIGO BAY had his consistency rewarded with a narrow victory last time out over the c&d. He is drawn one outside the former and should turn in another honest performance today. BATTLE CRY is seldom far off the action and had to be checked at the 250M mark when finishing second last time out over six furlongs and should have finished closer to the winner as a result. He has a wide draw of twelve to overcome, but he should be picking off the frontrunner in the closing stages of the race. VAN GAAL is a 4yr filly taking on the boys and is the stable companion to the second choice. She won over the c&d last time out when friendless in the betting markets and makes a solid back-up for the yard.

Race 7
This looks to be a tricky affair and some caution is advised. The tentative top choice goes to VIA BALCIANO who has consistent formlines to his credit. He finished third in his latest outing over seven furlongs, just a length and a half off the winner. He jumps from a mid-field draw and should be a factor in this field. RUBY RED SOCKS is a 5yr old mare taking on boys, but she finished well to win her last start over seven furlongs, and on that effort, she should have no issue going the extra distance. CROCODILE SHOES has pole position and showed some improvement when running on to finish fifth last time out over seven furlongs, just two lengths off the winner. He too should have no problem getting the extra distance. SO YOU DREAM made marked improvement when winning his last outing over seven furlongs when totally unfancied in the betting markets. If he is able to confirm that last effort, he should be included in all bets.

Race 8
EROE goes for his hat-trick and won his penultimate outing over this distance. He then showed plenty of determination to hold off the late challengers to win his next outing over 1300M. He jumps from gate eight, but if showing the same grit today, he looks to be the value in the race. MONKEY MAGIC is a 6yr old mare taking on males. She steps up in distance after finishing a close up second in her last two outings over six furlongs, but she has pulled pole position and should ensure that the top pick remains honest. BRILLIANT MIND showed solid improvement in his last start when dropping down from 1900M to six furlongs. He was returning from a 23-week break that day and should appreciate going over the extra distance.

Race 1
GIANT LEAP has finished close up in all three of his runs to date and was only beaten a head last time out over 1300M at this venue when returning from a 16-week rest. He starts from draw seven and looks very difficult to topple here. BOLSHOI GAL is a 4yr old filly taking on the boys, but she was just a half-length back in her last outing over six furlongs. That was her first run since an 18-week break and if not in need of one more start, she could threaten the top choice. HITCHINRAIL has made steady improvement in his last two runs, the latest when finishing third over this seven-furlong journey. He has a wide draw of nine, but he should be involved in the finish.
Race 6
Two 3yr old fillies could fight out the finish to this race and complete the exacta. NOT MY FIGHT has cracked pole position and won her maiden race over 1100M easing down last time out. She takes on stronger here, but the manner in which she recorded that last victory suggests that she might be able to complete the double today. FAIR JUSTICE was only run out of it late is her last start over 1300M. She is drawn the widest of them all, but her style of racing might not make this too much of an issue. The drop in distance is sure to be to her liking. NEAT ACTION was making late progress when finishing just 2.4L off the winner last time out over 1300M and should be respected in this line-up.
Race 7
DELTA BELLE returns from a lengthy 50-week break from the race track but has put in two encouraging barrier trial to prove her well-being. She is a 4yr old filly taking males, but she has her hat-trick attempt today and despite taking a big drop in distance from her last win over 2100M, she looks to be the one to side with here. It should be noted that she did finish third over the seven furlongs three runs back. SUPER TEROITOA finished second in his last outing over this c&d and will have 3kgs removed from his allocated weight courtesy of his claiming apprentice. LUKE’S CHOICE finished strongly to end up second in his last outing over six furlongs. He jumps from gate five and could be a threat to the top two picks.
Race 8
This appears to be a tricky race and some caution is suggested. SIGNIFICANT HERO was 4.2L behind the winner in his latest run over six furlongs when returning from a 22-week break. He is drawn in gate two and if not in need of one more outing, he should be right up there in the mix. TRIGGERFISH raced up with the speed when finishing fourth in his start over 1300M, so his draw of eight may not be such a negative. TAP THE GO GO is a 6yr old mare taking on boys. She finished sixth last time out when stepping up to the mile and seems certain to appreciate the drop back to seven furlongs. Her handy three draw is a plus. BOBCAT JOHNNIE on the other hand faces the widest draw of them all, but he is likely to use his early gate speed to move across without using up too much energy. He has his second run after returning from a 15-week break and should be included in all bets.
Race 9
REWRITE THE STARS is a 3yr old filly taking on males, but she has consistent formlines to her credit and did win her last outing over 1300M. She drops in trip, but from her handy draw of two, she is likely to turn in another honest performance here and is taken to be the value bet on today’s program. TRAKIATO battled all the way down to the wire when finishing third last time out over this c&d. He jumps from gate eight and could threaten the top choice. FOO TROUBLE goes for his hat-trick here after winning his last two outings over six furlongs, the latest at this venue. He will have to negotiate the widest draw, but with a bit of luck in the running, he should be right up there in the firing line.
