The finish of this race may be dominated by the 2yr old runners, with the top pick being MACTHIEF from the Brett Crawford yard, with stable jockey Corne Orffer doing duty. He understandably raced green on his only run to date, but was making late progress which may suggest that he will prefer the extra ground on offer today. He was fancied in the betting for that outing.
