GEM KING won a good race in the Grade 3 Variety Club Mile last time. He was slow into stride, settled at the rear of the field and ran on powerfully. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He should have no issues with the 1800m and can notch up his fifth career victory.
