HAPPY CHANCE produced a promising debut effort over 1250m at Durbanville. She understandably raced green, but the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. The daughter of Dynasty would have come on from the run and will enjoy the extra 250m on offer. She has had the experience of racing around the turn and with the natural improvement that is expected, she may be the one to side with.
Race 6: RAIN IN NEWMARKET (2)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: J Snaith
RAIN IN NEWMARKET finished 1.65 lengths behind SO FLAWLESS last time. She is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has finished second three times from four starts over this C&D. She is likely to be switched off near the rear of the field and with a bit of luck in running, should be mowing down the frontrunners.
Race 7: MAJOR ATTRACTION (3)
Jockey: R Fourie – Trainer: J Snaith
MAJOR ATTRACTION ran a good race when second over this C&D in the Listed Olympic Duel Stakes. She raced from just off the pace, but found one too good in the form of Going Up. She is having her peak run today and should be cherry-ripe. The daughter of Vercingetorix gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep her mind on the task at hand.

NOT IN DOUBT is better than his last start over the 1000m. His three efforts prior to that outing were encouraging. His best effort to date has been with the blinkers on and he gets the headgear re-fitted today. The son of Time Thief shows good speed in his races and if putting his best foot forward, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.
