Race 3: TRIP OF FORTUNE (10)
Race 4: NOOSA PRINCESS (7)
Race 5: MISS SMARTY PANTS (4)

Magic Tips Best Bets

Race 1: NIGHT RULER (7)
Jockey: Fourie R – Trainer Snaith J

NIGHT RULER produced a promising debut effort over this C&D, three weeks ago. He understandably raced green, but stayed on nicely at the finish. The son of Kingsbarns would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

HIGH HOSANNA

Race 2: CRUIZIN CALIFORNIA (3)
Jockey: Bantam C – Trainer: Marshall V H

CRUIZIN CALIFORNIA ran a good race on debut over this C&D, three weeks ago. She lost a length at the start, but the manner in which she finished off her race caught the eye. The daughter of Twice Over would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, she can go one better.

Race 3: TRIP OF FORTUNE (10)
Jockey: De Melo K – Trainer: Bass-Robinson

TRIP OF FORTUNE stayed on nicely to finish second on debut over 1200m on this course. The son of Trippi found betting support that day which suggests that he had been showing good work back at home. He should have no issues with the drop in distance and with Keagan de Melo in the saddle, he can improve to win in this type of field.

HIGH HOSANNA

Race 7: WARRIOR (1)
Jockey: Fourie R – Trainer: Snaith J

WARRIOR was given a peach of a ride when winning the Grade 3 Variety Club Mile last time. The son of Futura looks to have plenty of ability and should love the rise to the 1800m. He should notch up his fourth victory in a row.

Race 8: SOVEREIGN ROSE (6)
Jockey: Winnaar M – Trainer: Kotzen G

SOVEREIGN ROSE is much better than her last start over this distance at Durbanville. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. She has won once and finished second once from three starts over this C&D. The daughter of Duke Of Marmalade takes a drop in the ratings and in class. With a bit of luck from her wide draw, she may be the one to cause the upset.
