Race 2: ROYAL AUSSIE (11)
Jockey: Fourie R – Trainer: Snaith J

ROYAL AUSSIE produced a promising debut effort over this C&D, two weeks ago. He was green in running, but the manner in which he finished off his race that day caught the eye. The son of Royal Mo would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the horse to beat.

Race 3: LOVE IS A ROSE (12)
Jockey: Mxothwa L – Trainer: Ennion G

LOVE IS A ROSE was unlucky not to have won on debut over this C&D. She lost two lengths at the start, finished her race off strongly but had to be switched at the 100m mark. The daughter of Master Of My Fate would have come on from the run and with a bit of luck in running, she may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.

Race 4: GEOPOLITICAL (9)
Jockey: Khumalo S – Trainer: Marshall V

GEOPOLITICAL made the expected natural improvement when finishing second over this C&D, four weeks ago. He was brushed at the 300m mark, but stayed on nicely at the finish. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. He will strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and may have more to come under S’manga Khumalo.

Race 6: ROD THE MOD (1)
Jockey: Ashby D – Trainer: Reeves P

ROD THE MOD produced a decent comeback run when fourth over this C&D. He showed good speed that day, but was outrun in the latter stages. He has won twice, finished second once and third once from seven starts over this C&D. The son of Var will strip much fitter and he can notch up his third career victory.

Race 7: TREASURE HUNT (1)
Jockey: Steyn K – Trainer: Botha P

TREASURE HUNT won a good race in her last start over 1400m on this course. The removal of the tongue- tie seems to have done the trick. She has finished second twice from three starts over this distance. The daughter of Elusive Fort takes a drop in class and can follow up
