FFOS LAS

Race 4 No12 JAZZ KING (Each Way)
Trainer: Sam Thomas – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

JAZZ KING appeals as a value option in this competitive handicap hurdle on his first start in well over 300 days and in first-time blinkers. Figures of 2/22443- suggest there is a chink in the grey’s armour, but if he’s going to break that frustrating sequence first time back is probably the right time to catch him.

Race 6 No4 MANIMOLE
Trainer: Nigel Twiston-Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston-Davies

MANIMOLE put in an improved effort when second on her latest start at this track, and as that was only her third run could have more to offer in this distaffers’ novices’ hurdle. She handled the extremely testing conditions, and that course form can be worth its weight in gold.

LINGFIELD PARK

Race 4 No4 PARLIAMENT HILL
Trainer: Olly Murphy – Jockey: Sean Bowen

PARLIAMENT HILL was an early casualty on his latest start at Musselburgh, but had impressed on his previous start at Wetherby. He’s pleased in some schooling since that uncharacteristic spill, and holds strong claims to return to winning ways even though he’s the least experienced of these over fences.

Race 5 No3 KENNY GEORGE (Nap)
Trainer: Sheena West – Jockey: Mack Goldstein

KENNY GEORGE was cruelly denied by Blue Shark at Fontwell on Boxing Day but has his best chance of a deserved first win of the campaign as he returns from a short break. He’s looked an improved operator in claiming cheques in each of his four outings and this looks on paper to be his easiest task so far.

NEWCASTLE

Race 3 No1 COLONEL HARRY (Nap)
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

COLONEL HARRY was beaten just over six lengths when fourth in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown and now holds outstanding claims pulled back into ordinary novice company. In spite of his penalty for a win at Sandown earlier in the season he is impossible to oppose.

Race 5 No1 PASSING WELL
Trainer: Jamie Snowden – Jockey: Gavin Sheehan

Having delivered on his debut for connections at Uttoxeter, PASSING WELL was not disgraced in the Challow Hurdle even though beaten a distance by the winner Hermes Allen. That placed form in a Grade 1 makes him the one to beat as he charts much calmer waters on the long journey from Lambourn.

SOUTHWELL

Race 2 No6 BRAVURA
Trainer: Sir Mark Prescott – Jockey: Luke Morris

BRAVURA was only denied in the final strides of his second career start at Lingfield after his jockey made an early bid for glory. He has a tricky draw to overcome, but if doing so can see off recent scorers Imperial Ace, Regal Empire and Irish Flame.

Race 8 No4 DUBAI JEANIUS (Nap)
Trainer: Michael Herrington – Jockey: Tom Eaves

Recent course winner DUBAI JEANIUS has gained useful match practice here since before Christmas. His confidence levels rose for that success over a much longer trip than he’d encountered before, and he should be at least as effective going another notch up the distance ladder here.
