BEVERLEY

Race 1: No2 – SOUND OF DUBAI
Trainer: Karl Burke – Jockey: Ben Curtis

Burke has made a cracking start with his juveniles, headed by Group-winning filly Dandalla, and SOUND OF DUBAI can bolster his tally in this maiden auction stakes. The Estidhkaar colt is the subject of favourable reports, and with those that have already run looking moderate, can foil fellow debutant Mr Lauda.

Race 4: No2 – BRAZEN PRINCE (Nap)
Trainer: Richard Fahey – Jockey: Paddy Mathers

BRAZEN PRINCE has been easy to back on both outings to date, but having made a notable improvement to go down by a short head to Topper Bill at Catterick, he will surely command plenty of interest in the betting market. He faces a worthy opponent in Master Of Brazil but is napped to dispatch that similarly profiled runner.

CATTERICK

Race 1: No1 – RISK OF THUNDER (Nap)
Trainer: James Tate – Jockey: PJ McDonald

RISK OF THUNDER has shown ability in two of his three starts and probably had an off day when last of eight behind Gussy Mac in a Listed race at Sandown. He’s been given plenty of time to recover from those exertions and is fancied to recover his smart earlier form when booting up at Ripon.

Race 7: No5 – SAISONS D’OR
Trainer: Jedd O’Keeffe – Jockey: Owen Payton

O’Keeffe uses the same stable apprentice that’s ridden SAISONS D’OR on his last three outings and the combination should enjoy this change of scenery. The grey has knocked on the door since the resumption of racing, and now has a good opportunity to gain a first success since the spring of last year from a perfect draw four off the rail.

Race 9: No11 – TWO SOX (Each Way)
Trainer: Tim Easterby – Jockey: Duran Fentiman

TWO SOX showed a glimmer of ability on handicap debut at Ripon to trouble the judge for the first time in four career starts. While that isn’t earth-shattering form it shows that the Nathaniel gelding is credentialed to take out a weak race like this, possessing has that bit of scope for progression that few in the race can muster.

LINGFIELD

Race 6: No4 – DARK SPECTRE (Nap)
Trainer: Ed Walker – Jockey: Oisin Murphy

Both the progeny of Frankel, Tilly Frankl and newcomer Amtiyaz are drawn wide while DARK SPECTRE is carded to enjoy the run of things after showing improvement to take into the money at Windsor last month. Beaten just a length and a half by the winner Hot Summer, he’s likely to take another step forward here.

Race 7: No11 – KALEIDOSCOPIC (Each Way)
Trainer: Mick Channon – Jockey: Tom Marquand

In the colours of Sunday’s Deauville winner Cairn Gorm, KALEIDOSCOPIC is worth an each-way flutter against strongly fancied opponents John Locke and Faisal. The daughter of Le Havre comes here following the cancellation of Doncaster last Saturday, and if running as well as she works should get into the shake-up, although like many from this yard she could run green.

SOUTHWELL

Race 5: No6 – LEROY BROWN (Nap)
Trainer: Nigel Twiston Davies – Jockey: Sam Twiston Davies

LEROY BROWN ran a cracker on his return at Uttoxeter when for much of the way he travelled best. It was only between the final flight and the post that he gave best to Hunting Percival. He will probably come on for that effort and gets the vote over Rock On Tiger.

Race 8: No10 – MISS FARAGE
Trainer: Nicky Henderson – Jockey: Nico de Boinville

MISS FARAGE got the job done efficiently on her return in a Uttoxeter bumper. The mare has schooled well ahead of this first outing over jumps. She can take full advantage of the 7lbs received from Jimmy The Digger courtesy of her mares’ allowance.
