FIRE BALL won his last start by the narrowest of margins. It is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride and the combination can make it quick back-to-back wins. NOIR RIDER is better than his last run suggests. He is nicely weighted with 53kgs to shoulder and can give a good account of himself in this opening contest.
07:30 – Race 2 | Class 4 | 1200m

TOP SCORER produced an eye-catching debut performance when beaten half a length by Super Goldi. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and natural improvement is expected. SECOND TO NONE showed some promise on debut when 2.5 lengths behind Vantastic Choice. He will strip a much fitter horse and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
08:00 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1200m

RUN RUN TIMING is coming along the right way. Harry Bentley has picked up the ride and the combination will have plenty of followers. RUBY SAILING finished a length behind Vantastic Choice in his comeback run and it will be intriguing to see if Second to None can give the form line a boost in Race 2.
08:30 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1000m

LIFELINE EXPRESS placed on debut behind Fun Elite. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and is one of the leading contenders. METRO WARRIOR produced a fair last effort behind Northern Beaches. He carries top weight but should make his presence felt in this type of field. The South African-bred SUPER COMMANDER is speedy and may be difficult to peg back at the wire.
09:00 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1400m
Selections: 5/2/7
TOP PEAK finished well on debut despite having to be switched out at the 250m mark. He would have gained from the experience and can win at the second time of asking. FIGHTING MACHINE won his last start over this course and distance. It is encouraging that Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride and the only concern is the wide draw.
09:35 – Race 6 | Class 4 | 1600m
Selections: 7/10/11
LUCKY ETERNITY has finished second over this course and distance on two occasions this season. He reunites with Hugh Bowman and it will be no surprise to see him in the winners’ enclosure. JOYFUL PROSPERITY finished a neck behind CHATEAU in his last start. The pair meet on identical terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them at the wire.
10:05 – Race 7 | Class 2 | 1200m
Selections: 6/7/9
GALAXY PATCH is in search of a hat-trick of wins. He responded quickly in the straight and won in style last time. LUCKY ENCOUNTER is a talented horse with a good record over this distance. However, it must be noted that regular rider Karis Teetan is now aboard the top selection.
10:35 – Race 8 | Class 3 | 1200m

CAPITAL LEGEND and I GIVE finished alongside each other in a race won by Joyful Hunter last time. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line. MAGNIFICENT NINE was given a patient ride and had to be checked at the 150m mark last time. With better luck in running, he should be involved in the outcome of this contest.
11:10 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1600m

STAR MAC finished a length behind SPEED DRAGON in his last start. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. CHANCHENG GLORY is looking to extend an impressive winning streak. He is unbeaten over a mile and on form is hard to oppose.
11:45 – Race 10 | Class 3 | 1400m

JOYFUL HUNTER really impressed in his recent win over Armour War Eagle. He is a horse that is still on the upgrade and could be one of the better bets on the card. BEAUTY FIT has consistent form lines to his credit and if overcoming the wide draw, he should be a strong contender in the lucky last!
