LUCKY BANNER has race experience under the belt and will have plenty of followers in this opening contest. He was only beaten a neck by Circuit Nine last time and will be looking to make amends for that narrow defeat. OUR PRECIOUS is held by the top selection on his debut effort but would have gained from the experience and can challenge for top honors.

DIAMOND STAR wasn’t disgraced in his last start at Happy Valley. He drops back to a mile and has claims on his consistent prior form. EL VALIENTE produced a fair last effort on the All-Weather track. He is likely to race off the pace from a wide draw and should be doing his best work in the closing stages.

BUNDLE OF CHARM was a narrow winner in his debut effort over this C&D. He showed enough potential on that occasion to warrant first selection and it is encouraging that Moreira has kept faith in the ride. DRAGON KINGDOM comes in at the bottom of the weights and is drawn best of all. He set a decent pace last time, was only outrun in the latter stages and may be difficult to peg back this time around.

TIMESTORM caught the eye on debut at long odds when beaten 1.5 lengths by SUPER AXIOM. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and can give another good account of himself. AMAZING ROCKY placed in his comeback after a four-month layoff, is nicely weighted and should strip a much fitter horse.

STUNNING IMPACT was a narrow winner in his last start over this C&D. He has cracked a neat draw and is looking to make it quick back-to-back wins. DOUBLE SHOW was only beaten a length by Bundle Of Charm in his last start. He has cracked pole and South African jockey Hewitson will give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
09:00 – Race 6 | Class 4 Handicap | 1400m

SUPER RED DRAGON was beaten a head by the progressive Erimo over this C&D last time. He looks nicely handicapped in this tricky contest and is the narrow first selection. MY INTELLIGENT was drawn wide last time when beaten three lengths by Stunning Impact. He was only beaten a neck in his penultimate start over this C&D and has strong claims if repeating that effort.
09:35 – Race 7 | Class 2 Handicap | 1200m

ROCK YA HEART has consistent recent form lines to his credit. He produced a decent last run when beaten just over a length by Winning Dreamer on the turf track. WE THE SOUTH was beaten 1.5 lengths by the speedy Stoltz after a two-month break, should strip a much fitter horse and could be one to cause an upset.

GALAXY WITNESS shoulders a handy galloping weight and will be looking to keep his unbeaten record intact. He may still be ahead of the handicapper at this stage of his career and is hard to oppose. RUNNING GLORY is a classy sort and won his last start over further. He ran on strongly in his penultimate start over a mile and is a leading contender.
10:35 – Race 9 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

CALL ME TEDDY and EVERYONE’S VICTORY were separated by the narrowest of margins last time when close-up behind Toronado Phantom. The pair meet on the same weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much between them at the wire. LIGHTNING BOLT finished runner-up over this C&D last time and cannot be ignored.
11:10 – Race 10 | Class 3 Handicap | 1400m

KEEFY should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and was only beaten just under a length by ESCAPE ROUTE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror. GOLDEN LINK is much better than his below-par last performance and has claims on his fair prior form.
11:45 – Race 11 | Class 3 Handicap | 1200m

STORM LEGEND hasn’t been far off the winner in recent outings and looks nicely handicapped in the lucky last. He runs well for Currie and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. POWER KOEPP was beaten 2.5 lengths by STAR BRITE last time. He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and will just have to overcome the wide barrier to have a say.
