DIAMOND SOARS won his last start on the All Weather and looks nicely weighted in this opening contest with an apprentice aboard. He seemed to relish this surface and can make it quick back-to-back wins. THE MULTIPLIER was beaten just under a length by the top selection last time and can give another good account of himself.
07:30 – Race 2 | Class 5 | 1650m

BOYS PARTY went close on the All-Weather in his penultimate start and wasn’t disgraced behind Superb Daddy last time out. He meets the right field and should be one of the leading contenders. DAILY BEAUTY is a three-time winner taking on winless horses and is much better than his last performance suggests. WAH MAY LUCK finished runner-up behind shock winner Theta Hedge last time and can confirm his recent improvement.
08:00 – Race 3 | Class 4 | 1200m

GOLDEN BULL caught the eye in his debut performance behind Dragon’s Luck. It is encouraging that Purton has kept faith in the ride and this unexposed sort and can go one better. SUGAR SUGAR burst through a gap to win under this apprentice last time and is loaded with ability.
08:30 – Race 4 | Class 4 | 1200m

STAND UP went close on the All Weather last time and has shown a clear preference for this surface. He gets Brazilian ace, De Sousa, in the irons and will have plenty of followers in this contest. ICE LEGEND was a beaten favourite last time when just under two lengths by Mighty Stride. He comes in at the top of the weights and will be looking to make amends.
09:00 – Race 5 | Class 4 | 1800m

The striking grey LEGION OF MERIT was beaten just over a length by Royal Pride on turf last time. He is likely to race on the speed from pole and may be difficult to peg back at the wire. CHATER PINS hasn’t had much luck in recent outings coming from off the pace. He is drawn wide and should be doing his best work in the closing stages. SUN OF MAKFI was beaten a couple of lengths by RIGHTEOUS DOCTRINE last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights and there shouldn’t be too much separating them when they hit the line.
09:35 – Race 6 | Class 3 | 1000m

SUPERB BOY won his Hong Kong debut under a vigorous ride from Purton. He would have come on nicely with that run under the belt and looks one of the better bets on the card. KA YING SPIRIT kept finding to win his last start over this C&D. He gets in-form Chadwick aboard who won three races in the recent Happy Valley race meeting.
10:05 – Race 7 | Class 3 | 1650m
Selections: 1/14/5
TRUE LEGEND trounced rivals in his last start over this C&D and the only concern is that he is drawn wide this time around. YES WE CAN was clear second best when beaten five lengths by the top selection last time. He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights and should finish closer as a result.
10:35 – Race 8 | Class 4 | 1400m

NOBLE STEED was a surprise winner last time at 16/1. He should be cherry-ripe having his third run after a rest and should give another good account of himself. CASA LEGEND was narrowly beaten by MARADO last time. He is 1kg better off at the weights and can turn the tables on his recent conqueror.
11:10 – Race 9 | Class 3 | 1400m
Selections: 2/10/3
A PAL won well up the inside rail under a great ride by Leung last time. He has cracked pole position and from there will be a tough horse to beat. ALL RICHES finished runner-up behind a fair sort last time out. He looks nicely weighted with 54kgs on his back and can challenge the top selection. AMAZING VICTORY, unfortunately, has a wide draw to overcome but he has consistent form lines to his credit and could be one to fill the exacta spot.
11:45 – Race 10 | Class 2 | 1200m

CAMPIONE showed good pace when pipped at the wire in a dramatic finish last time. He will benefit from an apprentice allowance and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. GALAXY WITNESS comes in at the bottom of the weights. He is a four-time winner from eight starts and can feature if suited to the All Weather. APACHE PASS and SUPER WIN DRAGON are course specialists and must also be considered in the lucky last!
