LESS IS MORE finished just over a length behind the top selection in his last start. The pair meet on similar weight terms and there shouldn’t be too much separating them in the run down to the line.

I GIVE comes in at the top of the weights and merits respect. He performs well with Andrea Atzeni in the saddle and the combination can go close to winning this Class 3 event. ILLUMINOUS is an Australian import with attractive form lines to his credit and he must be included in all bets.

SKY HEART produced an eye-catching debut run behind Hong Kong Hall. He should come on nicely with that run under the belt and it will be no surprise to see him in the winners’ box. GOLD TACK has fair recent form lines to his credit. He has cracked pole and it is encouraging that Keagan de Melo has kept faith in the ride.

SWAN BAY has been knocking on the door throughout the season and has shown that a first Hong Kong victory is on the horizon. SIMPLE HEDGE has placed in his last two runs under Zac Purton and the combination should make their presence strongly felt from pole.

FLYING HIGH finished half a length behind PLEASANT ENDEAVOUR in his last start. He is 3kgs better off at the weights and definitely represents decent each-way value for Hong Kong racing pundits. STELLAR EXPRESS is a French import with attractive form lines to his name. He could be one worth following.
10:05 – Race 7 | The Hong Kong Classic Mile | 1600m

HELIOS EXPRESS is the class package in the Hong Kong Classic Mile. He has endured a good prep coming into this race and the bookmakers should have him ‘odds-on’. HELENE FEELING finished third in a Group 3 event last time and could be one to fill the exacta spot. BEAUTY CRESCENT is next best.
10:40 – Race 8 | Group 3 | 1800m

LA CITY BLANCHE finished just under a length behind HAPPY TOGETHER in a Group 3 last time. He is 1.5kgs better off at the weights and could be one to cause an upset. The grey SENOR TOBA interestingly won this race last year and the only concern is the wide draw.

TOP SCORER has finished second in both career starts. He is drawn wide but Zac Purton has kept faith in the ride and the combination can go one better. MASTER TORNADO was beaten the narrowest of margins in his last start and a repeat of that effort should see him finish in the money. The David Hayes-trained ARIEL must also be strongly considered.

GUMMY GUMMY has won twice and finished second twice from four starts on the All Weather. He finished second behind a progressive sort last time and could be one of the better bets on the card. WONDER KIT has been racing well on turf. If suited to the surface, he should give a good account of himself in the lucky last!
