DAWN MISSION should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung from the 300m mark. It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. The son of Silvano should be suited to the 1800m and if keeping on a straight line, he can shed his maiden tag.

ONTHEVERGE finished 0.75 lengths behind ARYAAM in the Listed Spook Express Stakes last time. She is 3kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She tries the 2600m for the first time and if seeing out the extra distance on offer, she should be the horse to beat.

HOMELY GIRL has produced two good second place finishes since relocating to the Highveld. She was slow into stride over 1450m last time, but finished her race off well. She will enjoy the rise to the mile and should be at peak fitness. If jumping on terms, she should take a power of beating.

NOBLE SNIPER took on much stronger in his last start over this C&D. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. His penultimate run when finishing second over this distance on the Vaal Classic course was encouraging. The son of Noble Tune takes a drop in class and with Gavin Lerena in the saddle, he should be competitive.
