DOITWITHDIAMONDS was an impressive winner of her last start over 1800m on this course. She raced from a handy position, quickened up well and won with a ton in hand. She has won three times and finished second twice from six starts on this course. Gavin Lerena retains the ride and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure once again.

FASTNET FILLY was an easy winner of her last start over 1200m on this course. The daughter of Fastnet Rock received a six-pound penalty for that victory. She should have no issues with the drop to 1000m. She jumps from a good draw of three and against similar company, she may be the one to side with.

VIRGIN RIVER has finished second in her last three starts. She showed good speed over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time, tried hard but found one too good in the form of The Navy Lark. She jumps from a good draw of three and with Calvin Habib back in the saddle, she should be hard to peg back.

The son of Var takes a drop in class and S’manga Khumalo is booked to ride. He jumps from a good draw of four and if suited to this course, he can return to winning ways.
