FOREVER INDIGO set the pace, but was staying on in the closing stages in her last start over the c&d. Gavin Lerena gets the ride for the red-hot Paul Peter stable and from a handy draw, she looks to be the right one here.

ARABIAN AIR is the only runner on the day from the Joey Ramsden yard and it is encouraging that former SA champion jockey S’manga Khumalo retains the ride. They set the pace in their last outing over the mile and may just be able to hold on to win this contest if adopting the same tactics today.

The St John Gray stable holds a strong hand in this race, with the slight preference going to TWELVE OAKS, who is the mount of Gavin Lerena. Her stable companion SAMMI MOOSA seldom finishes far behind and another honest performance can be expected here. She is however carded to run on 25 July and her progress in that event will need to be checked.
