POMOZELOUS ran a good race when second in her last start over this C&D. She raced from a handy position, fought hard but found one too good in the form of Apache Fighter. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of Pomodoro is a progressive type and with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle, she should be the horse to beat.

DYCE was in need of his comeback run after 66 weeks off the track. He has won twice and finished second once from four starts over this distance. The son of William Longsword will strip a much fitter horse today. He is loaded with class and may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Jockey: G Pieterse – Trainer: F Habib
MOVER AND SHAKER’S last three starts have been fair. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as the saddle was reported to have slipped. The son of Rafeef gets the blinkers fitted for the first time which should keep his mind on the task at hand. He takes a drop in class and may be the horse to side with.

IMPERIAL MASTER finished 1.5 lengths behind SUDDEN STAR last time. He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. He has won twice, finished second once and third four times from eight starts over this distance. He gets the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Siyanda Sosibo and from pole position, he is capable of returning to winning ways.
