MYTHICAL DREAM is unbeaten from three starts, the latest of which was over this C&D. The manner in which she ran on at the finish last time was eye-catching. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since. She received a six-pound penalty and against similar company, she can remain unbeaten.

Jockey: K de Melo – Trainer: J A Janse v Vuuren
MORAINE set the pace in her last start over this distance on the Turffontein Inside course and found extra where it matters most to hold all challengers at bay. The daughter of Silvano returns to Handicap Company and she may still be ahead of the handicapper. From her good draw of two, she can notch up her third career victory.

BILLY SPELLBOUND has shown good improvement in his last two starts after returning from a 19-week break. He should have finished closer to the winner over 1400m last time as he hung in the closing stages. The son of William Longsword should love the rise to 1800m and the blinkers will keep his mind on the task at hand. He is a progressive type and can shed his maiden tag.

MCEBISI has decent recent form lines to his name. He was doing his best work late when third over 1400m on the Turffontein Standside course last time. He finished 0.25 lengths behind TRIDENT KING in his penultimate effort. He is 0.5kgs better off at the weights today. Marco van Rensburg steps back into the saddle and the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.
