This isn’t a straight forward event despite the betting market suggesting otherwise as the value could lie with PELICAN BAY who had decent form before his excusable last run. He has nearly ten lengths to find with the likely short-priced favourite DYNAJET but meets the latter on a whopping 6.5kgs and his good draw should make a significant difference. The latter produced his career best run when pipped in that maiden handicap over this c & d and though he faces a moderate line-up, it will still be tricky with the big mass this afternoon.

She is drawn best of all with a promising workrider in the saddle and is her conditioner’s solitary entrant on the day.
