Magic Tips Best Bets

Top Bet
Race 2: APPLE CRUMBLE(3)
Jockey: Lyle HEWITSON – Trainer: Michael AZZIE

The lightly raced six-year-old gelding APPLE CRUMBLE is making up for lost time and he has been solid since returning from that lengthy absence. The well-related son of Trippi found a strong finish to win a good contest over shorter, three weeks ago. He clearly seems to have escaped with only a three-pound penalty and the mile should be right up his alley. The Mike Azzie inmate is on the up and he could take some beating in this small field.

Race 3: TENNESSEE RED(3)
Jockey: Lyle HEWITSON – Trainer: Sean TARRY

TENNESSEE RED
was never dangerous when making steady headway in her first venture around the turn last time out. The lightly raced filly has a bit to find with the exposed and average sort, JACKIE’S JOY on that performance, but she has huge scope for progress and should easily reverse the form. The Sean Tarry inmate had a good penultimate run over this c & d and she rates a huge threat, back down the straight.

Race 5: RIVERINE FOREST(6)

Jockey: Randall SIMONS – Trainer: Brett WARREN

RIVERINE FOREST quickly bounced back to form when she produced a strong finish and only just failed to nab the rank outsider BY JOVE over this c & d, five weeks ago. She is 0.5kg better off with the latter and the pair could fight out another titanic struggle.

Race 8: WANTED MAN(14)
Jockey: Gunter WROGEMANN – Trainer: Lucky HOUDALAKIS

WANTED MAN attracted plenty of betting support when he produced a promising debut over this c & d, three weeks ago. The speedy bay gelding was bumped in the latter stages when outrun late into 3rd but that formline could be worth following. The experience would have brought him on and he should make natural improvement.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:

Race 1: SEVEN SOVEREIGNS(2)
Jockey: Karl ZECHNER – Trainer: Michael AZZIE

EVEN SOVEREIGNS had two fair six-furlong sprints and he made expected improvement on this track, second time out. He should see out the mile and the son of Seventh Rock should be competitive in this field.
