Netball South Africa has announced the Baby Spar Proteas (Under 21) squad that will travel to Jamaica in January, alongside the Spar Proteas, for the prestigious Margaret Beckford Sunshine Series.
The Test series will take place from January 18 to 25 at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Jamaica.
Following the announcement of the Baby Spar Proteas, fans have expressed their excitement and praised Netball South Africa for selecting a strong squad.
Kuyintantoyamazukwaze Myeza shared she only knew Phophi (Nematangari), but with the guidance of coach Precious Mthembu and Phumza Maweni, she has confidence in the entire team.
Jack Brixton Mongologa congratulated the squad, saying, “Congratulations, babes! Good luck on your journey to Jamaica and bring us glory!”
Goodness Levy added, “Lead us, Precious and Phumza. You have a great squad. All the best!”
Meanwhile, the senior team, who recently triumphed at the Africa Netball Cup in Namibia over the weekend, will be looking to carry that winning momentum into the upcoming test series.
