Netball South Africa has announced details of the Spar Challenge International Netball Test Series, where the Spar Proteas will compete against Malawi.
The three-match series will be held at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg on October 31, November 2, and November 3.
South Africa and Malawi are currently ranked fifth and sixth in the world. The rivalry between the two teams is intense as each team strives to be crowned Africa’s number one.
The two countries have played each other 38 times, with South Africa leading Malawi head-to-head 25-12, and one test match being drawn.
The two teams last met in a three-match series at Sun City in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. South Africa won the series 3-0.
Cecilia Molokwane, president of Netball South Africa, said they look forward to welcoming the Malawi Queens with respect and anticipate a terrific test series.
