They secured a thrilling 61-59 victory over England in their second match on Sunday. The team kicked off the tournament on Saturday with a 75-40 win over Uganda.

This tournament began this past Saturday and will end this coming Saturday. It features four teams: South Africa, England, Malawi, and Uganda, all competing for the title of this year’s champion.

Despite their strong performance so far, head coach Jenny van Dyk emphasized that there is still plenty of work to be done.

“The job isn’t finished yet. We have another weekend ahead of us and a final spot to secure. While I think it’s nearly in the bag, we still want to win that match as well. So, there’s a lot left to accomplish,” Van Dyk said in a post-match interview.

The Proteas have a few days to prepare for their upcoming clash against Malawi on Saturday at the Copper Box Arena in London.

The tournament will culminate with the final match in London on Sunday.
